I’m so glad the tea party has had control over a legislative branch, and the presidency.
The media has now gone on attack to slime the tea party, they are afraid and will do everything to discredit the movement. It’s really just the same propaganda from the media, frame the story in the manor it should be told (by them, facts are irrelevant), then repeat it as much as possible. I used to scream at the FOX morning news reports due to this because of them framing the issue in a way that manipulates your thinking about a story, never the actual truth. Now I just see how my fellow Americans are being brainwashed with propaganda.

Odd. Rep. Ryan’s proposal is the only one addressing our problems. Redistribution of wealth through massive tax increases is, however, the only move that our political establishment will consider. If the 2012 election takes place it won’t be free and fair.

They could have cut DoD in half or raised taxes to the moon any time they wanted for the two full years they had complete control of congress plus WH.
They did nothing. They did nothing because they knew it would have lost their seats.
What they want is all those things embedded in a package that the GOP votes for, so they are immunized from campaign ads about their tax addiction and desire to disarm America.

Thought...if you start calling it the Tea Party Recession haven’t you conceded it is no longer Bush’s Recession?
Until now, they were going to endlessly call it Bush’s fault.
This proves that events and times move on...other factors come into play. But Obama wants to claim that nothing he ever does or says is causing the problem. He is the exempted one.
Well, if it can change from Bush’s fault to the Tea Party’s fault, why should anyone buy that the only one’s fault it never became is Obama’s??

The Tea Party is made up of solid citizens who pay their bills on time, live within their means, save their money, raise their children with love and good values; who fight for what they believe, and are capable of thinking for themselves, are generous, courteous and a God loving people ,

This is juet a transition from Bush’s fault to Tea Party’s fault.
The "fractious negotiations" led only to an agreement. The agreement was bad and even it probably is not what caused the downgrade. The previous years of wild slinging of money here there and everywhere caused the downgrade. No agreement at this point, certainly not one that simply raised the limit smoothly and automatically would have atoned for the spending.
