Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis believed Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson was behind the assassination of her husband, according to tapes recorded by the former first lady just months after President John F. Kennedy's death, the Daily Mail reports.

Hell, I was a teenager when he was shot and we all got the day off from school. The speculation among my friends at the time was that Johnson was ultimately the puppeteer in the assassination. Even today I would not be suprised to find proof that he was responsible.

I’ve long wanted to read a good bio/expose of LBJ. Has one been written yet? Any recommendations?

I'll do you a double. I pin both the JFK and MLK assassinations on LBJ.

There's no logical way some two bit hoodlum and thief would break out of prison, get an expensive,(about $300.00 at the time) high powered hunting rifle, and go out to assassinate the nation's foremost civil rights leader without a lot of serious support from important people. Then Ray went on the run around the world, assuming a host of identities that somebody else had to research for him and supply to him. Finally, he was represented by Percy Foreman, Texas' most prominent criminal defense lawyer, who promptly sold him out by pleading him guilty and getting him a life sentence.

As far as motive's concerned, LBJ's the one. By the timer of the assassination, MLK had become a royal pain in the fundament and embarrassment for LBJ. Remember, LBJ had turned most of the nation's civil rights policy over to MLK. MLK showed his appreciation by engaging in all sorts of sleazy sexual affairs, apparently some with seriously underage females; running "civil rights demonstrations" that promptly became riots, conveniently just after he left; attacking LBJ's Vietnam policy; and generally demanding something close to a socialist revolution. All of these shenanigans seriously undermined the DemonRats' and LBJ's efforts to retain their illicit power. Hence, the logical solution for LBJ was the "Final Solution to the MKK Problem," which he brilliantly applied, while he and the MSM blamed conservatives for the assassination, thereby enabling LBJ to continue and intensify his own socialist policies.

My father had watched LBJ swearing in.

He was on the plane? Because I am 99.99% sure it was not on live TV. Not sure if it was filmed or not. I have never seen it and I used to be very interested in the subject.

You must mean after the 1964 election

That makes the most sense. I was little when it happened and I recall him talking about it when I was older. Unfortunately, my Dad is deceased so I can’t ask him exactly when.

Seems as if the entire Kennedy Family used
Hollywood as their private brothel.

Starting with Joseph Sr.

That makes three of us.
I always heard that the Lincoln had a bullet hole in the windshield.
During the annual JFK conspiracy tv programs they showed a picture of it out front of the hospital. It had a bullet hole in the windshield

Yup, Bad guy. There are tapes of LBJ acknowledging that victory in VietNam was impossible, but he wouldn't think of withdrawing troops because he'd get tagged with who lost Vietnam, like Truman was tagged with who lost China. This was early in the escalation and before the really big antiwar protests.

Nixon was almost as bad, accepting in 73 almost the same deal he would have gotten in '69.Both men should be damned to Hell for what they did.

Even if he were not dropped ‘68 was too long to wait for a man with a family history of heart disease. He was deep, very deep, in corruption and investigators were getting close to him. JFK was not coming to his rescue. After he became President that was all put to rest.

You're so right. I was 21 at the time and in college. One thing I specifically remember was that Life magazine, pretty much of a Kennedy house rag, ran a very much anti-LBJ article shortly before the assassination, the kind of thing anyone with an antenna as long as LBJ's would view as proof of a deadly threat. Furthermore, Bobby and LBJ bitterly hated each other, with Bobby being the one who had influence with JFK, not LBJ. LBJ would have been a complete fool not to hear the ever closer footsteps. Thus, the "Final Solution to the JFK Problem" undoubtedly became LBJ's solution, with the further advantage that he and the MSM were able to frame and framed conservatives and Republicans for the assassination.

The book that may be similar has the author teaching Ruby and Oswald how to shoot. He claims Johnson paid him to do this and when they met they swam together nude at least once...seriously.

I remember when the History Channel aired that series “The Men Who Killed Kennedy”. It is also available on Netflix.
I remember that it caused a stir when it was first aired.

That show is full of laughable conspiracy theories. Among them is “Badgemam”. Some guys though they could make out a uniformed guy with a badge aiming a rifle in the patterns of leaves and shadows on the area of the grassy knoll. However, someone later showed that if the guy they saw was really there, he is way out of scale with all the people actually seen there.

My father had watched LBJ swearing in. I remember my father told me that by the look in vice president’s eyes that my father knew Johnson had something to do with JFK’s death.

Except he doesn’t look like that. He looks stunned and saddened. This is how conspiracy theories about the JFK assassination grow. Someone repeats something that someone told them; and most of the time, those “facts” are not true.

Johnson was a crook and one of the worst presidents ever. But, I do not think he had anything to do with JFK's death. The Kennedy family and their inner cliques did not like Johnson. They alienated Johnson so much that they all knew that once he became president on November 22, the Camelot bunch would be out of there. So it does not surprise me that an airhead like Jackie thought LBJ was in on it. The guy looks downright evil; and he probably had a difficult time hiding his dislike of the Kennedys.

...to be dropped from ticket in ‘64.

I think I heard Robert Caro (an LBJ biographer) say that JFK hated
Johnson, and it was somebody like Mike Mansfield that showed
up with LBJ and told Kennedy "This is your running mate".

"That being said, there is such a principle as Occam's razor, and Kennedy's assassination is not exempt from that universal principle of logic".

I agree, however using occams razor, the most reasonable explanation is that Oswald was not the shooter.

Congressman Albert Thomas winks back at a quickly-smiling LBJ as he is being sworn in to be the next President of the United States on Air Force One while the grief-stricken Jackie Kennedy stands next to him.
