Is Obama Smart?
WSJ ^ | 9 AUG 2011 | Bret Stephens

Posted on 08/09/2011 7:24:21 AM PDT by Rummyfan

The aircraft was large, modern and considered among the world's safest. But that night it was flying straight into a huge thunderstorm. Turbulence was extreme, and airspeed indicators may not have been functioning properly. Worse, the pilots were incompetent. As the plane threatened to stall they panicked by pointing the nose up, losing speed when they ought to have done the opposite. It was all over in minutes.

Was this the fate of Flight 447, the Air France jet that plunged mysteriously into the Atlantic a couple of years ago? Could be. What I'm talking about here is the Obama presidency.

When it comes to piloting, Barack Obama seems to think he's the political equivalent of Charles Lindbergh, Chuck Yeager and—in a "Fly Me to the Moon" sort of way—Nat King Cole rolled into one. "I think I'm a better speech writer than my speech writers," he reportedly told an aide in 2008. "I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I'll tell you right now that I'm . . . a better political director than my political director."

On another occasion—at the 2004 Democratic convention—Mr. Obama explained to a Chicago Tribune reporter that "I'm LeBron, baby. I can play at this level. I got game."

Like most academicians, he’s clever, but not smart. Cleverness based on contrarian manipulation, and not smart based on real-life experience and empirical evidence. A “religious” temperment, without a belief in God. Dangerous, mostly, in a position of Power.

At one point in the world it was calculated that it took a minimum IQ of 114 to 120 get a law degree, affirmative action changed that.

Really? The Wall Street Journal published this?

You simply cannot be taken seriously when you engage in food fights.

(BTW, I think Obama is less than intelligent, and an arrogant pr!ck, but I’m not writing a story for the WSJ).

>>> Is Obama Smart?

An idiot could not screw things up such as they are.

What 0Bama has done, and continues to do - MUST be deliberate, with malice and forethought.

Smooth talker at the right place at the right time to take advantage of white guilt. His total lack of substance is continually obscured by the liberal media.
Someday, however, a small child is going to cry out “But the president is neckid”

Ah, the Cretin-in-Chief’s true intellect is finally being discussed.

Those of us in this forum knew it long before the loon was elected. So did the MSM.

Now, despite the MSM’s best efforts to conceal the fact that he’s actually quite stupid, they are experiencing a massive fail.

Just posted this on a like thread and then realized it was from yesterday.

This fits! It’s a few lines about a character in a book I just finished:

“”Where’s he getting these ideas? He’s not smart enough to be that stupid all by himself.””

I guess you know who I immediately thought of...

Glad someone finally wrote about what we all know to be true...
