Can't be about politics all the time huh? Anyways semi political as the BCS system maybe coming to a swift end with the apparent formation of 4 super conferences and the Big-10, Pac-10 and the ACC\Big East look to consolidate and create a defacto playoff system.

One year, a team from Illinois came down to the Swamp with WOOL uniforms. They were out of gas at the end of the first quarter. It was 110 degrees on the field - and humidity to match!

As a kid growing up in NYC in the 50's..I followed the underground railroad of NYC HS stars to UNC...Lenny Rosenbluth was my first sports hero. But football still rules in the ACC..to the schools fan base..
