Huge Illinois Business Leaves for Indiana

Tomorrow (Tuesday), Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is expected to announce that Indiana will welcome a new business that will bring 240 new jobs to Indiana — all thanks to Illinois’ Governor Quinn, the Illinois Democrats, and the major hike in Illinois’ taxes the Democrats put on Illinois businesses.
Modern Drop Forge, of Blue Island, Illinois, is expected to move its operation to Merrillville, Indiana. They are also expected to make a $7 million investment to improve the new property, according to NWI Times news of Indiana.
“The Democrats just don’t get it,” said Scott McCoy, a businessman and candidate for Illinois State Representative of the newly formed 106th House District in Central Illinois. “The Democrats caused this with their huge tax hike on Illinois businesses. Now, Illinois businesses are looking for more business friendly states and I can’t blame them. Illinois is doing this to ourselves. I hope the people in our state figure it out before we look around and see no businesses or jobs left in Illinois.”
McCoy says Illinois’ business climate of regulations, high taxes, and an over-controlling state government has put Illinois in a very bad place.
“Governor Quinn and the Democrats are going to continue down this path for the next year and a half until we can elect conservative leaders into the Illinois House and Senate,” McCoy explained. “Then it’s two more years until we have a chance to elect a conservative governor. It’s going to be a very hard and painful several years here in Illinois.”
Scott McCoy says Illinois needs strong, conservative leaders who will stand up to the Democrats and win the people over to a more conservative direction. He said the Republicans and the TEA Party need to press hard from now until election day to change the course.
“How many more businesses and jobs will we lose from now until then,” McCoy asked. “Once they leave, don’t expect them to come back.”

There are good schools in Geneva, Naperville, St Charles, etc....but the taxes are outrageous. 10k a year on a 3000 sq foot house. I have less and less tolerance for the brutal winters so i would love to move to Virginia, Texas or Florida. There are still a good amount of jobs but I don’t know how much longer they can survive the tax factory that is Illinois. I have no idea how Quinn got re-elected
And you are correct, despite any marital differences the kids should and always will come first. I can’t believe how many divorced couples use the kids as pawns.

As Michael Savage says, "liberalism is a mental illness". It is apparently true. These people are mentally ill and just can't change. If they weren't, then they would understand why Mass. is such a sh***y place and not try to replicate it where ever they move to.
By the way, I moved from the south shore of Boston to the Deep, Deep South in the mid 1970's. Only go back for weddings, funerals, and to visit relatives. New Hampshire (or as my kids call it, "New Hampster" is a really nice place, at least for now.
Blue Island was a Polish/Italian neighborhood. The two Catholic churches there tell the story. One Parish was Polish (St. Isidore), one Italian (St. Donatus). I have terrific memories of walking uptown to go shopping with my buscia. It was a nice, safe, well kept up neighborhood. Now you get ticketed for parking on the street without a permit. My buscia still lives there.

Galesburg is losing an employer.
WGIL Radio reports that Decatur-based ADM issued a statement late Monday confirming that its soybean processing facility in Galesburg will be closing, effective immediately.

CHICAGO (WLS) - President Barack Obama’s home state of Illinois lost more jobs during the month of July than any other state in the nation, according to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics report.
After losing 7,200 jobs during the month of June, Illinois lost more than 24,000 jobs in July.

John Tillman, CEO of the Illinois Policy Institute, joined WLS Radio’s Don Wade and Roma Show Tuesday where he says Illinois’ neighbors are gaining the jobs Illinois is shedding.
“Indiana, next door, is picking up another couple hundred jobs. They’re plus 10,000. Kentucky’s plus 24,000. Missouri’s plus 39,000. So, this has all happened since the tax hike as we, and many others including you on your program regularly, predicted,” Tillman said.
I’m always glad to see Illinoise lose jobs, but when we consider 240 jobs huge were all in deep doo-doo ...

Agree. 
They are punishing themselves although over a period of time. Eventually what’s a socialist to do when you have no revenue coming in because all the businesses and working people are going to leave them, and they can’t continue to fund their vote buying programs.
Sad part is some of the workers bring their parasitic behavior and self immolating ways with them and then try to “civilize” us locals and thus in turn plant the seeds for their new digs eventual demise.

You hit all the nails squarely on the head Leni. It’s such a shame that Chicago rules the entire state.
My advice as someone who lived there 19 looooong years, is GET OUT. Do it now. The stinking RATS will never let go of the Chicago voter/croney power machine, even if those voters were inclined to try to go another direction, which mostly they are not.
We went to Chicago briefly in March for a 2 days business trip and I was so much reminded of the liberalism that lives there. And how glad I no longer do. Praise and Thanks be to God.
We used to have a friend that ran a pizza joint in Blue Island. He made fantastic pizza and served it up free once a month to those of us who came to music-jam at this place.
I was always glad this was an afternoon deal....no dark streets to drive down in BI.
Then our friend sold that place, the pizza wasn’t nearly as good and the new owners weren’t interested in promoting music enjoyment so the thing ended. Fun while it lasted though.
