Shoot once, over their heads. If the keep coming, bring the gun back down and point it straight at them. If they're STILL coming, shoot.
This is a very bad idea! You WILL be prosecuted for illegal discharge of a firearm in public. If you hurt someone, you will be charged with a felony. Brandishing a weapon will also leave you open for a misdemeanor charge.
If you pull out a weapon, it is best to start pumping lead into those who pose a DIRECT danger to you. No other course of action will prevent charges from being filed against you.
“Shoot once, over their heads. If the keep coming, bring the gun back down and point it straight at them. If they’re STILL coming, shoot.”
That’s horrible advice. What goes up, must come down. Are you prepared for that bullet to come down in someones home two blocks away? Warning shots are for TV.
