I've read this entire posting from back to front (sometimes it is better that way)....and the usual posters are prevelent. From the nay sayers like "poly" (the DU operative on the site), to the pro SP folks like 2nd Div....

I've a question: just what the "f" does my patience have to do with whether or not Gov. Palin decides to run???? Hell, we've been waiting for the Chicago Cubs for over 109 years....is a true Cubs fan patience ever worn out?? NO.

You either support Gov. Palin, what she stands for, what she could do for the country....or you don't. It's that simple.

If you are willing to "dump" the Governor because of your inability to maintain your patience....then you really never truly supported the Governor in the first place. And if your patience is that weak with other consequential things in your life...then I really feel sorry for those around you.

Governor Palin remains mostly quiet…..she is waiting....she (and only she) knows her battle plan....she (and only she) knows her timing.....she is learning....studying the opposition....guarding the "cubs"....waiting quietly with an occasional "roar"…..reconnoitering the challengers and enemies from within and without.....studying weaknesses....building and conserving her own strength....endlessly practicing....reading...honing her skills.....waiting.....waiting…

This war has not yet begun. What has been seen of the other candidates to date has been nothing but minor and irrelevant skirmishing. Candidates in...candidates out....candidates winning....candidates losing.....candidates saying silly things.....candidates saying cogent, insightful things….candidates being personally attacked by the msm (including fox) and the largely irrelevant, faux intelligencia (rove, krauthammer, morris, olberman, matthews, etc) ….candidates being dismissed by the msm…..candidates attacking one another instead of concentrating on the real issues and enemy.

It is a very, very long way yet to November, 2012. There is no need to rush. Keeping her own council Mrs. Palin smiles knowingly, and trusting in the loyalty of her supporters, remembers the words of Napolean, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." and General Patton, "Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!"

When she arrives, you can count on total war. She has learned how to fight. She has been through this before….all the way to election day. She does not spin; she attacks, all the time….constantly; she does not back away from principles; she means exactly what she says...and says exactly what she means. She has built and continues to add to her base of support because of who and what she is....not because of who or what she panders to.

For heaven's sake, if you support the Governor and what she would be able to do, then patience.....patience....

Wait for it!

And keep the faith....!

Horsesh*t. It ain't that simple. I know most Palin supporters truly believe that Palin's telgraphing her every move to them and that this waiting is all orchestrated to punk the media and the other candidates, but I don't. Her interview with David Brody (see below) tells me very clearly that she hasn't made up her mind yet. I don't think she really wants to run. As she said in that same interview, she wants to be part of the conversation. But she's so dedicated to restoring America that she will run if she believes there's no other choice.

And if your patience is that weak with other consequential things in your life...then I really feel sorry for those around you.

I'm beyond tired of the personal attacks that Palin supporters launch against anyone who doesn't follow their parade. It's horsesh*t. I'll support Palin my own damn way and if others don't like it, well that's just too damn bad. She hasn't announced her candidacy yet.

candidates being personally attacked by the msm (including fox) and the largely irrelevant, faux intelligencia (rove, krauthammer, morris, olberman, matthews, etc) ….candidates being dismissed by the msm…..candidates attacking one another instead of concentrating on the real issues and enemy.

You forgot "candidates being trashed by supporters of other candidates."

For heaven's sake, if you support the Governor and what she would be able to do, then patience.....patience.... Wait for it!

I'll wait until the end of October, which is the deadline she agreed to when David Brody proposed it in the following interview.

Sarah Palin: “There is still a lot of contemplation that goes on within a family, deciding whether to engage in such a life-changing venture, putting yourself forward in the name of service, in such a position as President of the United States. So, we’re still thinking about it, and the impact on family. Family comes first in my life, and I just don’t want to adversely affect the family. So, we’re still talking about it, thinking about it. And that’s what I want supporters to understand. At the same time, I want to be very fair to supporters and not keep them hanging on in perpetuity. It’s fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else. And/or to decide for themselves what they want to do. So, still haven’t made up my mind, haven’t decided when that announcement would be yet.”

David Brody: “Is that short order by the end of September? October?

Sarah Palin: “I think that that is a fair timeline for people, because Fall time, they can start getting engaged with different campaigns, but still thinking about it, and really, really desiring to be a participant in the positive change that needs to happen in this country. Economy getting back on the right track. Jobs created for Americans, I want to be a part of that whether it be as a candidate, or as a supporter of the right candidate. I’m still in that decision making phase.”

Until Sarah does make up her mind, I'll be present on other candidates' threads (as time allows) to make sure that FReepers have balanced information instead of one-sided information, misinformation, or outright erroneous information. Vetting the candidates' records and actions is absolutely necessary, but that's not most of what I see happening. There is some but not enough. Most of what I see is childish, snarky behavior that does nothing to raise the level of discourse. This upcoming election is important. Eating our own based on the hope (belief, desire, impression, etc.) that Sarah will run is self-defeating and divisive and exactly what the left wants.
