As a Texan, I find your comment offensive. If the anti-Perry crowd is going to be allowed to call Texans traitors, FR will lose the support of many Texans. Vetting a candidate's record is acceptable. Attacking a candidate's supporters to the extent of calling them traitors is unacceptable.
FR is supposed to have a policy of "No personal attacks." Lately, I and many others have seen a small crowd of Palin supporters escalate the vitriol against Perry supporters. The "No personal attacks" policy is enforced on Palin threads but not on Perry threads.
I support both Palin and Perry. A few days ago, I reported abused on a vanity thread attacking Palin supporters. The thread was pulled. Friday night I reported abuse on a vanity thread attacking Perry supporters. That thread was not pulled.
Everyone understands that FR is "Palin Country." No one is asking FR to become "Perry Country." However, the vitriol against Perry supporters says to them that no matter how long they've been FReepers, how much money they've contributed to FR, or how dedicated they are to conservative values and FR's goals, they are not valued FReepers.
If that isn't the case, I'd ask that it be made clear.
FRegards, Tex
Well, I support them ALL, Cain, Bachmann, Perry, Palin, I also like Rick Santorum, I even like Newt, except you can’t trust him with the money. And I’m not going to let republicans trash my governor just because THEY prefer just one of the above. And thank you, Buckeye...being called a traitor and a troll is offensive.
Since Sarah Palin hasn’t declared yet, and Rick Perry seems to be a threat. The democrats are pumping out Rick Perry attacks, smears, lies and propaganda faster than republicans on this site can pick them up and DECLARE them to be truth. The democrats are laughing like hyenas!
It’ll certainly be interesting when and if she declares to see if all the Sarah Palin supporters on this site pick up all the democratic attacks, smears, lies and propaganda the democrats can pump out about her and DECLARE it to be the truth!
Post 55 is a clear violation of the posting “rules” - but, what’s new about that?
I’ve pretty much accepted the stacked deck that’s dealt from here. There’s all kinds of stuff that used to be forbidden that is now allowed. Soon will be required.
