No, it did not. The opt-out required parents to be opposed to ALL vaccinations, not to object to this one as unneeded for their children.

Another dishonest statement. The facts:

...Tuesday was the last day for the governor to sign or veto the HPV bill, which would prevent vaccination against HPV from becoming a requirement for school entry until at least 2011. As he has done neither, the bill goes into law.

He did not approve the repeal, nor did he sign it. He used the veto-proof override to attack the GOP, saying they “sacrificed [women’s lives] on the altar of political expediency”.

Perry may win the nomination, but lying about what he did is inappropriate. I don’t expect any candidate to agree with me 100% of the time, or even 90% - but I do NOT like LIARS.
