In my understanding of the Judeo-Christian religion, the concept of heaven and hell is the destination of everyone after they die. Heaven is reserved for the people who, among other things, lived their lives in a civilized and caring way and had respect and understanding for their fellow man. Hell was intended as a place of confinement for the devil and his fallen angels; even though it wasn’t intended for man to be there, sadly many narcissist humans will be confined there also.

This sort of ignorance is so sad. By grace you are saved through faith in Jesus Christ, not by good works. (Paraphrase of Eph. 2:8-9) We are all sinners naturally condemned to Hell - doing a few 'good deeds' or 'being civilized' is nonsense as a criterion for reconciliation with an absolute, holy, just God and sharing eternity with Him.
