I read elsewhere that Boehner simply requested that Omoslem consider the following day for the Congressional address. At this point, I wouldn’t say that Boehner has rejected Omoslem’s Sept 7th plan. We’ll see what Boehner has to say when the one refuses to change the date.
Obama can keep the date the only issue I have is making the setting and joint session available to him. Let him give the speech from the W.H. or in front of the bus they have flown to campaign stops. Republicans don’t need to be in attendance that night nor give him a setting used mainly only for SOTU’s or war speeches.
