EXCERPT

In agreeing to Boehner's schedule, Obama's address will compete with the opening game of the National Football League season — a conflict the White House wanted to avoid.

This is supposed to be the most powerful man, in the most powerful country in the world; he has just followed orders from a SUBORDINATE political official.

Not exactly. There's the little matter that the President and Congress are co-equal branches. Also, both the House and Senate must pass resolutions allowing a joint session. But you're right about the loss of "face" - not because Boehner is a subordinate, but because Obozo acted stupidly and had to back off.

I see, but I’m looking at it from the perspective of how the rest of the world will view it when they read about it. How the Chinese will view it, how the Arabs will view it, how the rest of the world’s leaders will view it, that sort of thing.

Uh...ya’ll can stop celebrating. Actually if his team plays this right, he is going to have all the debate information and the public’s reaction to it!

He is actually set-up to shoot magnificent holes in the republican candidates and especially any front runner!

I don’t think we should be all that happy about this.

If we would have let him do his little speech first, the debating republicans would have/could have had an awesome platform from which to smack down the president’s plan(s). Instead that table is turned and we’re only going to get a 30 second sound bite.

We fell for this trap...big time.

Reporter is wrong.

Now 0bama has a chance to respond to any of Perry’s debate answers and Perry will be left out to dry by the media.

The media will be hyperanalyzing the debate and then we’ll get 0bama’s life saving speech the next evening?

We grossly played this hand wrong.

See my two previous posts.

0bama actually is going to win this hand. We should have called his bluff and let him give his little speech.

He is now going to have a hayday swatting down the republican front runner AFTER THE DEBATES.

The front runner is going to be lucky to get a 30 second sound bite post 0bama’s speech.

Perhaps he could have moved it to another day other than football night.

Why bother? All it will be is more of the same. Another slush fund for unions and his re-election. More unemployment, blah, blah, all rolled in with standing before Congress while badmouthing and blaming them for his own failure.

ugh

I will keep my TV off and I hope others do the same.

And the thing is, at least Mussolini ran the trains on time. What has Barak The Weenie done? Other than wreck.

Barry has never had results in anything he has “done” - in quotes, because he hasn’t done anything, really, except move his way up the food chain. Even in this, he has been essentially moved ahead by other people who found his stupidity and skin color useful to them in furthering their goals (to make the US into a socialist or fascist country).

I agree that he’s losing it, not necessarily because of lack of results, but because he’s not getting the ego-stoking that he used to get. That’s what he lives for. The press is still with him, although there are murmurs even there, but it is becoming clear that the general population, even those who voted for him, are no longer prepared to fall down and worship. It is also becoming clear that even the press can’t protect him forever, and that maybe our political system is stronger than his dictatorial drive and is beginning to push back.

As you say, he has never been in a business situation where reality intervened and made him assess his behavior. I’m not sure he’s actually capable of doing this, because I believe he’s seriously unstable (the other word might be “crazy”) and has created his own reality, and he’s not going to like it if his enablers suddenly stop supporting his fantasy. The question is whether he has enough power to be a threat on his own.

I’d be interested in knowing whose idea it was to suddenly “order” Congress to have a joint session; was it something that floated across Barry’s Magic 8 Ball of a mind and which he did personally, or was it a serious miscalculation by his handlers?

There’s no possible way he can swat down the front runner or even those at the back of the pack.

He has no ideas of his own and can’t even articulately express those fed to him by his handlers. I think the press will try to cover his verbal and mental lapses (since his speeches are becoming more embarrassingly ignorant every day) and make his response look better than it is, but in reality, he’s left playing catch up.

With his robotic, back-and-forth, teleprompter head movement, it would be better if they cut into the televised US Open tennis matches. He’d fit right in.

Why, they could even dub in the sounds the rackets hitting the ball each time he turned his head.

Goes to show that obammma has NO real plan, just a lot of retoric. Along with three teleprompters and probably Georgey Steponmeopolis and Christine SHOWMeadour, the whore of DC, the congress will be suffering from a major hangover after a night of Football(not Foosball missah president)
