I didn't say anything of the sort. But you seem to go out of the way in trying to say what the kid did was self-defense.
The shooter was only 14 years old, and was abused by his father. He can't escape harassment at school by this sick classmate, either. No adult helps him and he's only 14 years old! The classmate wasn't "flirting" if his attention wasn't wanted and he knew it was unwelcome.
By the way, I've been physically bullied, thrown into lockers, robbed and sexually harassed in the locker room. You think having some guy come up to you and flirt with you when you're clearly not interested is anywhere remotely as bad as that? I would have taken that any day of the week if it meant I wasn't going home in pain, humiliated and about to cry. I finally decided enough was enough and got out of public school.

This isn’t about you. And stop putting words in my mouth.

I think you are both missing the point. Both sides of the trial argued FOR a conviction. The prosecution wanted a minimum sentence of 50 years, and the defense wanted a minimum sentence of 14 years. And the sentencing, either way, could have gone higher.
For the trial, the prosecution overreached.
