On the Trail in New Hampshire, Perry Focuses on Jobs
New York Times ^ | Sept. 3, 2011 | Ashley Parker

"I'm tired of liberals who only care about jobs just to staff up more government programs," Mr. Perry said, speaking from a Manchester front yard. "I want to create jobs so that families can have more income, so families can live free. Jobs are about dignity for American families, so that people are able to live the American dream."

He added: "I'll promise you this, I'll go to the Oval Office every day and try to make Washington, D.C., as inconsequential in your life as I can. Every day!"

"I will repeal Obamacare as soon as possible, the first day I step into the Oval Office, with a signature on the Executive Order," Mr. Perry said.

Perry wants to give your tax dollars to the corporations. That is what he does. His own “stimulus” bailout.

It’s a concise, winning message, and it has all of the left and even some on the right truly frightened about it.

What a bunch of baloney, a bald statement of opinion, not any sort of fact. Are you saying that you know what Governor Perry wants?

In Texas we do give tax breaks and incentives to bring companies in, to make it easier for them to create jobs. The people with those jobs don’t only pay sales tax and fees: they invent and produce.

And our jobs are good jobs. Our wages are right in the middle of the Nation. Since the recession started, hourly wages have grown at the 6th fastest rate in the nation.

>>Jobs — it’s about jobs.

The Soviet Union had “Full Employment”.

How’d that work out again?

Perrys fully a globalist....here he speaks of attracting “world” investment dollars to his state.....via the ‘Texas Emerging Technology Fund’.......wonder how many of those 132 companies were American?????

Perry also highlighted the importance of ongoing efforts to attract world–class researchers and investment dollars to the state through programs like the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (TETF),..... Since its inception, the TETF has allocated more than $196.2 million in funds to 132 companies and nearly $173 million in grant matching and research superiority funds to Texas universities.

Some would do well looking closer at TETF......

That would be a huge problem at the national level if Perry brought in a tax breaks for selective coporations regime. It’s not the tax breaks, it’s the crony capitalism.

Soviet employment was government directed & sponsored jobs.
Perry is talking about private corporation jobs.

I watch the technology funds like a hawk because I don’t want our money to go to embryonic stem cells and cloning, etc. He’s supported good medical technology and research and helped prove the advocates of “we must clone and kill and destroy human embryos or we’ll have a brain drain!” all wrong.

Well he's a big time "pay to play" guy so any who think he wouldn't do likewise nationally isn't abreast of who Perry is....he's already using taxpayers money to buffer his comapnies and those he's recruting.

I think he's looking to put troops on the border if he gets the Presidency.....that will protect his interests there and the deals going down with Fox and foreign investors.

I’m not dodging. I just know that the medical ethics appear clean and that the most grievous charge is that Perry’s doctor might benefit if the state gives a license to an adult stem cell bank. (I’m not sure of the benefit of a person’s banking his or her own cells - I think we carry our own bank in our bodies and have more hope for umbilical cord cells. But I could be wrong.)

What do you know of any misuse of funds?

So he’s not a statist...in his book...real strong believer in state’s rights...then how come everytime anyone says anything about his support of illegals, it’s all fed gov’s fault because they won’t do what Sheriff Joe does in Arizona every day? And how come he “symbolically” billed fed gov for illegals in Texas jails? Why not bill Mexico? THAT’S where they came from. While he’s at it, why not bill Mexico for their education and medical care?
And why did he change his mind on state’s rights about gay marriage for purely political points and sign the NOM pledge?
This is hypocrisy and Bachmann is as guilty of it as he is. If either one of them would have STARTED OUT by stating reasonably that marriage should be covered by fed gov so that the same rules applied for every state because it doesn’t make sense for MA to recognize gay marriage and if those people travel to a state that doesn’t, it is chaos, it would be a whole other thing. But no, they didn’t do that. So were they being dishonest then, or are they being dishonest now?
Can’t say one thing, do another, and think people don’t notice.

True, he wants to educate illegals so they can compete for your children’s jobs. Nice.
