Despite Previous Strangulations, CAIR Says Burqa Ban at Rye Playland Is Another Case of Islamophobia
The Gateway Pundit ^ | Sept. 3,2011 | Jim Hoft

Last weekend Muslims furious over a head-scarf ban at Rye Playland got into a brawl with police. They were upset that burqa-clad women were banned from the rides. 15 people were arrested.

It didn’t take long for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to call the move by the park another case of Islamophobia. The New York Post reported, via ROP:

The finger-pointing is well under way over Tuesday’s melee at Rye Playland involving Muslim holiday parkgoers incensed that they were asked to remove religious headgear on some rides.

Police were called out in force, and 15 people were arrested on charges including disorderly conduct, assault and obstruction of governmental administration.

Despite accusations that Muslims were being targeted because of their religion, it seems clear that the county-owned park’s strict policy — instituted three years ago — is broadly worded to cover all headgear on faster rides, like the Crazy Mouse roller coaster and the Dragon Coaster.

…Groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations are now decrying what they term “this heightened state of Islamophobia.” But what seems to have occurred is a massive case of miscommunication.

Once again, CAIR is completely out of line. Muslim women are being banned from rides for their own protection. Just last year a young Muslim woman was strangled by her burqa in a go-kart accident.

Of course. There has to be some carbs, just for the texture. The side order of Lipitor is always nice!

D@mn right. Muslims by no means want diversity. They are Totalitarians, period. Islam is total submission. They’ve never had a real American fight on their hands on our soil.

Again, screw ‘em!

Oh, and a toast to your Jewish and Sikh friends and everyone other free American! May God help you in that foreign country called Connecticut.

My disapproval of Islam is that it embraces and lives by the Koran which is not only a guide for a religeous behavior but binds this belief to a societal governance. There is no such animal as a muslim without the adherance to the full body of the Koran. The Muslim faith ties into the centuries old animosity between the family roots of Abraham. Moderate Islam/muslim is a hoax deliberately and deceitfully pwaned off on non-believers.

If I owned an amusement park, I’d have “Moslem Day” once a week and hand out 7-foot-long scarves to every cockroach whod’d wear one right before they boarded the “Teacup Ride.”

That’s the ride that spins and spins until you barf (and get your scarf caught in the ride.

Upon any mishaps, my rides would require a 5-minute “Emergency Shutdown” procedure involving a precise series of keystrokes and guessing a randomly-generated 48-digit code.

I’d also provide free unlimited Whiskey to the mentally handicapped gentleman who operated + supervised the ride.

Islamophobia? No, I’m not scared — the suffix ‘phobia’ implies fear. More like Islamocontemptus.

My comment: I feel we should INSIST Muslim womenm wear burkhas to this amusement park, then build special ‘burkha catchers’ on all the rides. Perhaps we can cull the morons (’morons’ being defined as being a Muslim).

Do you listen to Jeffrey Lichtman on 970am, Saturday morning? He is an idiot, cutthroat lawyer who fills in for Curtis Sliwa on occasion. He had the head of the New York Chapter of CAIR on. The creep said that he thought the Muslims WAY overreacted to the whole Rye Playland thing.

Of course, while Lichtman kissed up to this guy, I knew the guy was lying through his teeth.

It may be simmering disgust.

Who is going to say “Stop” to the ongoing PC immigration?

Can we only watch?

Da*n, now I’m depressed too.
