To paraphrase Cain tonight, "It don't work".

I love Cain, but that portion is mandated in the Constitution. You're not one of those people who think we need to throw "that tattered old thing" out are you?

I thought she was wrong to say she didn’t accept his saying he made a mistake. But, that wasn’t the bad part. The bad part was when she went on to say that a president can’t make mistakes. That was goofy...AND...it came across goofy.

Why do we have to settle for Romney or Perry, while we have Governor Palin that does not have to apologize for anything she did in elected office

Bachmann was not shrill... she has a nice voice but she used it to say some really nasty things tonight.

She went way down in my estimation. Way down. I never thought she had a chance for the nomination but I did admire her.

they ain’t leaving now, UNTIL WE straighten out the illegal immigration mess
***************************
That’s the truth.

Perry said he isn’t for amnesty, did he not? I suppose there is some truth to not having a fence across the whole Texas border, but having them at metropolitan areas and a butt-load of other backups the whole border— boots on the ground, aviation assets/UAV’s. That would definitely be an improvement.

Perry as the president wouldn’t be able to write the laws and if we got enough in the house and senate, Perry wouldn’t buck a hard-nosed immigration policy, he would sign it.

After tonight, the only ones I’m watching are Cain, Newt and Perry.

Cain needs to make up more ground than Bachmann but he doesn’t make up his ground by tearing down others. He gets called on the least, too. I’m not really down with the 9/9/9 plan but it IS better than what we currently have.

Newt doesn’t tear down others to make his ground, either. Newt is smart as hell and my dream would be to see Obama debate him—Obama would be a pretzel, show his ignorance and prob’ly start crying or lose it. heh heh

Perry has his issues but I like him. Not completely comfortable with him but something about him I really like. He said he was wrong with the EO on the Gardasil stuff, at this time I will take him at his word.

Michele really disappointed me tonight. I also am tiring of some of her pat answers. She is very stiff.

If he were simply begging forgiveness for an honest mistake, I’m sure she would have said yes, but he wasn’t. He fought the legislature right down to the last vote, and then after losing there he signed the bill, and pretended that he had voluntarily rescinded his EO.

When the legislature passed the bill to nullify Ricardo's intrusive nanny-state Gardasit EO and he railed against it, condemned them for doing it and did not sign it (yes, Perrybots, I know he didn't have to)

Ricardo never backed down form his EO, he stood squarely behind it. Now he admits it was a 'mistake' but he is running for POTUS, he has to.

The man is a fraud.

Perry did not really back away from the most important aspect, politically, of his EXECUTIVE decision to mandate the vaccine.

did you know there was an opt-out?

Did you know that you had to get the governments permission to opt out?

As in:

Parents’ Rights. The Department of State Health Services will, in order to protect the right of parents to be the final authority on their children’s health care, modify the current process in order to allow parents to submit a request for a conscientious objection affidavit form via the Internet while maintaining privacy safeguards under current law.

This executive order supersedes all previous orders on this matter that are in conflict or inconsistent with its terms and this order shall remain in effect and in full force until modified, amended, rescinded, or superseded by me or by a succeeding governor.

Given under my hand this the 2nd day of February, 2007.

I'm sure you'd all be cool with Obamacare if it had an "opt out" where you could "submit a request as a concientious objector" and have the government decide whether your request met their standards.

Right?

Good point. Now she says he's bought off. Amateur hour on the Greta show. BTW didn't Perry bring up cutting waste first in the debate? Greta said only Newt talked about it and Sarah agreed. Then Bachman and Santorum came on, did Rove give his 2 cents too?

All I’m saying is right now, this second, Sarah Palin is not a candidate for President. Why she has chosen to stay out, I claim no knowledge. If she will choose to run, I claim no knowledge. She’s not running as of this evening - which makes the ideas she puts into the public domain fair game to be “borrowed” by those who are.

Some people act like he’s the anti Christ or something. I just don’t underatnd it.

On this forum, any candidate who is not Sarah Palin is the Anti-Christ. Get used to it. At least until she decides to back Perry, then he will become an Archangel.

It seems to me inappropriate for Sarah Palin to be bashing anyone in the debates, much less accusing Perry of ‘crony capitalism’ until she announces. Let her get on stage for a few debates and put forth her positions and confront her opponents and face their questions if she’s going to enter. In the meanwhile, she is just another talking head on Fox who used to be a VP candidate and who is tantalizing her fans with the possibility that she will run. I’m getting as tired of her act as I am of Bachmann’s. Yeah, I know that’s blasphemy around here, but it’s growing more tiresome every day.

Ooooooh. Some of those women are HOT FOR PERRY! But Perry's math is dead on. 800 billion dollars resulted in 0 jobs. Another 400 billion will also result in 0 jobs. Therefore, 1.2 trillion dollars still equals 0 jobs. So far, so good with the candidates - REPEAL OBAMACARE!

Herman CAIN - 999! Herman Cain knows how Washington works - IT DOESN'T! OUTSTANDING!

He said more than once during the debate that the EO was a mistake.
It is all the other hyperventilating wannabes that don’t understand that was worst of it.

To me that says that only 17% of the people identify themselves as liberal in any form and 83% identify themselves as something other than liberal. That being the case Obama has NO chance to win re-election given that he IS, quite evidently, a liberal!

Moderate is a subjective term. I consider myself a moderate but most others think I am to the right of Atilla the Hun!
