Glenn Beck’s new show launches today on his web network, GBTV, and the Wall Street Journal finds signs that this model holds promise. For one thing, Beck already has more paying subscribers than Oprah Winfrey’s OWN cable network did in June.
Because Mr. Beck owns the show and the network, he could make substantially more than the $2.5 million salary he got each year at Fox. GBTV is on track to take in more than $20 million in revenue in its debut year, according to a person close to the company.The television industry will be watching closely to see whether the TV host can preserve his popularity while migrating to the Web, where efforts to get consumers to pay to watch online-only channels are just beginning.
When Mr. Beck announced GBTV in June, the network had 80,000 subscribers. In the months since, GBTV subscribers have swelled to more than 230,000, according to people close to the network, even though Mr. Beck's show hasn't yet begun.

Good to hear, Beck said he was looking forward to being his own boss and the freedom to report information, without constraints.
No, Oprah’s butt is definitely the biggest.
And I certainly hope that eventually we’ll get “A Patriot’s History of the United States” television miniseries on Mr. Beck’s network.
Now if I could get the family to give up cable, I would save about $60.00 bucks a month.

Will you be able to watch the Program again each day? I am at work during 5:00pm EST so i can;t really set a DVR on my computer, hopefully you can re-watch I got home and only saw the last 5 minutes of it.
