Ron Paul’s Farewell Address? [ Paul defends the murder of 3,000 Americans - Treason ]

After watching Congressman Ron Paul get booed at Tampa, we were struck with the thought that it could be, in effect, his last address.

The congressman from Texas had been winning his share of the Republican debates by focusing on limited government, constitutional fundamentals, and sound money, the virtues of which are thrown into ever sharper relief with each lunge by the Democrats for federal power.

But the booing he got last night was no small thing, coming as it did when he suggested that al Qaeda had attacked us because America has not only occupied Muslim holy lands at Saudi Arabia but failed to give Palestinian Arabs “fair treatment,” as he put it, and killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis.

The audience at Tampa made it clear that it would have none of this.

No doubt its sentiment is widely shared throughout the Republican polity and even among Democrats. In Tampa it turned out to be Rick Santorum who called Dr. Paul on the point, rebuffing the Texan’s suggestion that America bears responsibility for the attacks the 10th anniversary of which our country has been marking with such dignity.

The way television debates work, little time was available to stretch out the talk to a discussion of America’s intercourse with the world. This is where the conversation might have turned to one of our own favorite documents, George Washington’s Farewell Address.

Washington’s Farewell —

“I repeat it, therefore,” Washington wrote, “let those engagements be observed in their genuine sense. But, in my opinion, it is unnecessary and would be unwise to extend them.” In other words, Washington was not an absolutist on foreign entanglements. He was for avoiding them where we were able, but for keeping our commitments.

2 days after the 1oth anniversary of the WTC and Pentagon attacks Dr Ron Paul defended Oama bin Laden.

Ron Paul also lied about what motivated the attacks.

Ron Paul must be arrested for aiding the enemy and tried for treason.

Wrong Paul is DONE. Those polls that had him as high as third? Forget ‘em.

Boehner needs to censure him and strip him of all committee assignments. Let him join the democrats if he wants some recognition for his sedition.

The congressman from Texas had been winning his share of the Republican debates

In his own mind, perhaps.

The resident ‘Paulist’ will be along short to show you the error of your ways and spin Paul’s words into gold. For now I’ll just wait and watch their magic show.

Now where’s the popcorn?

America has not only occupied Muslim holy lands at Saudi Arabia

I'll just brush right by the fact it's impossible for a fake religion based in violence and conquest to have holy lands. That aside, we were there BY INVITATION to prevent Saudi Arabia from becoming another Iraqi province.

George Washington's administration negotiated treaties with Britain, France, and Spain. Anyone who cites Washington as an isolationist is historically illiterate.

If that was enough to end the careers of politicians, the entire Democrat party would be out of power.

Ron Paul is just awful, and many of his supporters are absolutely disgusting. Read the Ron Paul Liberty forums to get a taste of how wretched his core fanatics are.

Ron Paul needs to leave the Republican party. Just go. He is a twisted Libertarian who can’t even denounce “truthers”, not a conservative. He is not bringing anything to the Republican party. His paulbot fans will not be voting for the actual GOP nominee anyway. At least if Paul ran 3rd party he would take away some of the drug addled, peacenik idiot vote from Obama. Go away Ron Paul.

We don’t need political correctness in the Republican Party like they have in the Dem. Party. When they screw up like this (and like McLame and his girlfriend, Ms. Graham do ALL THE TIME) we should withhold support from them.

But nooooooo. We helped McLame win another term so he could stand up on his hind legs and call us hobbits when he went Rino once again.

Exact Party that Ron Paul would finally win with outside of his tiny little area.

Ron Paul needs to leave the Republican party.

Paul already left the party once to run against Ronald Reagan. Why he was allowed back is beyond me

I think the Muzzies hate us because we support Israel but no one wants to say it. I think we ought to say it and say we don’t care if the Muzzies like it or not. I think that hatred of the Jews within the Islamic religion has led to all of the Muzzie attacks on the US - not just 911.

Saying they hate us for our freedom is stupid. Nobody believes that.

Ron Paul agrees with the Islamic terrorists - the US should not be supporting Israel. He doesn’t want to say it directly but that is what he means. Freak.

Waxing and waning. Sounds like he may be waning. This business of “America’s chickenssssss have come home to ROOOOOSSSSSSTTTT!” won’t cut it. We certainly don’t need another America hater finishing us off after Obama.

Russians didn’t like us for who we supported either.

Thank God Reagen didn’t but the Dennis Kucinich or Ron Paul’s of his day.

Germans didn’t like us for supporting...
