The Dems are blaming it on the “Jews” of Brooklyn—but Turner is a Roman Catholic and his opponent was Jewish.

I actually just learned that last night. Also, I understand Weprin is an Orthodox Jew. Amazing election results... Weprin was trounced in the Brooklyn precincts!

Weprin - who I believe lost the race due to his very bad wig - claimed to be an Orthodox Jew while supporting gay marriage. He actually went so far as to say Torah supported it. I’ll have to check in with Moses some day to see if he was right.

If the Dems keep putting up these goofy candidates, we are going to have a very happy future.

The Dems LOVE to view their voters as "groups" or, in communist terms, as "blocs". We prefer to just view voters as AMERICANS who may choose to go in a different direction.

Great point Rush: Note to Republicans: Do you understand now that you were sent there to STOP Obama and not WORK with him?

From what I read in a couple of FR threads this morning, the district is about 40% Jewish. In Brooklyn the Jews are Hasidic and ultra-orthodox; they are staunchly pro-Israel and against having a mosque built anywhere near the WTC site. They voted for Turner by 2-1. In Queens, the Jews tend to be non-orthodox and less supportive of Israel; they supported Weprin by 53%-48%.

I just don’t get why those of Jewish persuasion aren’t pointing out the hate rhetoric.

While you are providing support, love, validation, and encouragement to your liberal "friends" they are spying on you.

Fraternization with the enemy has been met with severe penalties FOREVER for a reason. Wake up. You are part of the problem.

Compiled a list of who would be potential 2012 Democratic Candidates, because the Democrat supporters I know don’t have a clue they need a new candidate or who it would be;

those 39 House Democrats who voted against the Health Care bill,
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2381365/posts

add the 2008 Democratic Presidential Candidates,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_Party_%28United_States%29_presidential_candidates,_2008

allowing too, for there to be some from outside government, like a Steve Wyn, Donald Trump, or Rush’s Democrat challengers Ron Paul or Huntsman.

Here’s that earlier referenced link

Precisely. Or maybe, and I know Dims are loathe to admit this, just maybe, their candidate wasn't a very good candidate. (I don't know this, just going on a limb and making a wild guess.) Normally, he may have won; but when you combine a terrible candidate with even worse ideas, kind of have to expect him to fail.

And LeftBall Matthews yesterday ran bridges failing inspections all during his show, so I guess the Cowboy Poetry Reading is OK by LeftBall, as long as the bridges get upgraded too...
