-The Texas Legislature will not meet again (unless a special session is called) until 2013. So your legilsture only meets for six months every two years? No wonder Texas is in such great shape!

I don't trust Perry to effect a significant change in this country's burgeoning bureaucracies. He is not against big government. He does not advocate reducing EPA, Dept of Ed, DOE, IRS or immigration. What about border control and his support of Gore. He is the epitome of a career politician, smile wave yadda yadda. Another useless politician that gets some people excited, especially home staters that root for him like their local sports team. He is the same old stuff, the usual suspects, deja vu, groundhog day. Anyone promoting this guy has been duped, swayed, enamored. He'll be a guest on Dancing w/ stars just to get the mindless votes and with that he can win the presidency of the current and fading United States. Then what he does will be nothing. Like others, he wants the title, not the job.

The nattering nabobs should be here any minute now, convincing me to support Perry.

It meets for 140 days every 2 years + any special sessions it needs. This year Perry called them back for a special session which made the legislative session a total of 170 days. In two years and they’ll do it again.

Ok, my bad. I thought it was a more demanding job. A good executive knows how to build a good team, and then he lets them do their jobs. Since the Legislature is not in session, he doesn't have to be there in person to sign legislation - the rest he can do through phones, e-mail, video conferencing, etc.

Have you ever been to Manassas? Sanctuary cities are alive & well in Virginia, too.

He is not against big government. He does not advocate reducing EPA, Dept of Ed, DOE, IRS or immigration. He is against big government and that is one of his central messages. He advocates reducing EPA, also on his agenda. The others, I'm not sure. He hasn't addressed them yet to my knowledge.
Stop telling fibs.

Nattering nabobs of negativity think that if they just repeat their talking points long enough and hard enough they’ll win the argument.
Not so. They are NOT winning the argument.
