Chronic disease to cost $47 trillion by 2030: WEF

The global economic impact of the five leading chronic diseases -- cancer, diabetes, mental illness, heart disease, and respiratory disease -- could reach $47 trillion over the next 20 years, according to a study by the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The estimated cumulative output loss caused by the illnesses, which together already kill more than 36 million people a year and are predicted to kill tens of millions more in future, represents around 4 percent of annual global GDP over the coming two decades, the study said.

"This is not a health issue, this is an economic issue -- it touches on all sectors of society," Eva Jane-Llopis, WEF's head of chronic disease and wellness, said in a telephone interview.

Don’t worry about it. It’s just life.

Maybe I should be pissed my parents didn’t get that warranty when I was born. But I don’t think their parents got one for them either. So it didn’t even occur to them.

Here’s something that will make you laugh. When the doc asked for the biopsy this spring I resisted. I went in to talk to him about it. I told him if I was done I wasn’t spending another dime on his worthless butt, and even more worthless tests. Instead, I told him, I was going to Disneyworld...

And I did have most of the money for treatment then, but when my DIL decided to become a full-time junkie and abandoned the son and grandbabies, that money has been sucked up in bills (the strain cost him his job) and lawyers trying to help them make a better life.

PS: If you see that stupid bitch hit her in the head for me—HARD.

I have often wondered what would happen should Ahmedinejad or someone similar take out Davos with a tactical nuke.

Cheers!

(Would all the talk of "needing to understand the rage" disappear?)

Cheers!

The cash I've paid for naturopathic/homeopathic treatment and supplements is cheaper than my co-pays for docs, specialists, x-rays, meds, and time lost at work. I'm a big believer after having to diagnose myself with systemic candida and then experience the failure, and possible liver damage, from modern medicine.

The GLOBAL cost...

How does this have any meaning unless they are fishing for the GLOBAL WHO to handle this GLOBAL health cost with a lot of other people’s money.

These internationalist people are insane. The Nations’ leaders can not even run themselves and these freaks are already to run the globe.

>>This is where Obamacare is going.

Only after the Pharma and Insurance companies that supported Obamacare milk their wheezing sickly slaves for every drop they’re worth.

Your story is common - my little granddaughter was ill for 8 years - (military) taken to doctors and specialists in Maine, Canada, Texas, Florida - can't find out what's causing it - they all said...tests didn't reveal the problem.

My daughter was beside herself. She did research and thought it might be ‘leaky gut’ syndrome - glucose intolerance.
The poor little girl would double over in pain nearly every day. The doctor's all but laughed at my daughter.

Then, at a health fair, there was a Naturopathic doctor offering a test - for $50. She asked it he'd do her little girl instead. Not knowing ONE ting about her medical history or problems, he took a drop of blood, analyzed it and turned to her, asking: “Does your tummy hurt after eating?”

Bingo. Glucose intolerance.

When my daughter took her her back to her regular doctor and told her, the doc sneered, “Well, I guess if it works, you'll know.”

It worked immediately. And has for 2 years. My daughter has become a super gluten-free cook.

But EIGHT YEARS of misery for that little girl - and it was heading towards more serious illness.

Chronic disease is a good business be in.

Curing disease is bad for business; hence, we have the FDA.
