WASHINGTON - In secretly recorded conversations between two individuals deeply entwined in the ATF's controversial "Fast and Furious" operation, the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry is described as "collateral damage."

The recordings were obtained exclusively by CBS News. The man who made them - Arizona gun dealer Andre Howard - ran the Lone Wolf Trading Company and was speaking with Hope MacAllister, the ATF operation's case agent.

Two of the guns Howard sold while cooperating with the ATF that were later found at Terry's murder.

"It happened. It's terrible," Howard said. "That's life ok we move on."

In the following excerpts, they talk about the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Two weapons purchased by ATF Fast and Furious suspects were found at the murder scene. They also discuss concerns that ATF whistleblower John Dodson, who had then been moved out of the ATF office and tasked to the FBI, has information that could be damaging to the government.

EXCERPT 1

Dealer: Unfortunately a consequence occurred from a weapon shall we say that found its way into the wrong area ok and that was not anticipated. Nobody could foresee that that's collateral damage I think the term is. It happened. It's terrible. That's life ok we move on. Unfortunately, Mr. Dodson with his allegation is a pain in the a--. Now, my understanding now is it will be impossible now that he will be able to substantiate anything directly because that evidence is gone. I want you to know that. It don't exist. Not that one. You understand me?

Doesn’t tell me much more than that he got conned into a very stupid plan. Unless we suddenly find he was paid some extra hush money, or something like that.

EXCERPT 2

Dealer: But you have got to put the word out there to all the departments tell the f———g FBI shut the f-— up. (whispering)

Agent: FBI’S got their own problems, trust me.

Dealer: I know I hear.

Agent: They’ve got their own problems.

Dealer: Hypothetically.

Agent: If anybody’s gonna get sued it’s gonna be the FBI in my opinion.

I’ve been in his shop many times and bought a couple of guns from him over the years. he always seamed like a decent guy, I know a lot of gun shops are run by “unusual characters”.

EXCERPT 3

Agent: That’s kind of what my suggestion but nobody thought that was funny like if I were a P.I. I’d put him on Grassley, I’m sure there’s a lot would go away. Actually my one suggestion was just tell him in a registered Republican. I’m sure if he knew that everything would be fine, they didn’t like that either.

Dealer: Well.

Agent: Alright.

Dealer: You gotta be, watch your back. I don’t trust these people around you one bit. You’ve been very lucky so far.

Agent: Again I’ll be more than happy to talk to somebody, they won’t let me, but more than happy to talk to anybody about the decisions we made.

Dealer: Hope, stay off the screen. You don’ t need this sh—. Neither does your husband.

Holder’s name comes up often. Hopefully we’ll see him in a orange jumpsuit soon.

Something is weird here.
It sounds like the dealer is talking out of his a$$. But how does he know anything that happens inside the ATF?
Who is recording this? The agent, the dealer, or somebody else?
It might be hard to stick this to Holder when the dealer is doing all the talking and he isn’t in a position to know crap.

Yeah, it does. I can’t see how this dealer could claim to be such an innocent, do-good citizen to help the feds when he appears to know a lot more than he should.

I cannot believe that Drudge isn’t linking to stories about this scandal. How can he ignore it, when even CBS News is reporting on it?

I really don’t get it. F&F is ten times bigger than Watergate. You’d think that Matt would be digging for every nugget of a scoop he could find.

ATF installs secret phone & hidden camera in AZ gun dealer shop, orders him to sell to illegals

By Carol Greenberg, on September 18th, 2011

Reporting from Glendale and Rio Rico, Ariz.—

In the fall of 2009, ATF agents installed a secret phone line and hidden cameras in a ceiling panel and wall at Andre Howard’s Lone Wolf gun store. They gave him one basic instruction: Sell guns to every illegal purchaser who walks through the door.

For 15 months, Howard did as he was told. To customers with phony IDs or wads of cash he normally would have turned away, he sold pistols, rifles and semiautomatics. He was assured by the ATF that they would follow the guns, and that the surveillance would lead the agents to the violent Mexican drug cartels on the Southwest border.

When Howard heard nothing about any arrests, he questioned the agents. Keep selling, they told him. So hundreds of thousands of dollars more in weapons, including .50-caliber sniper rifles, walked out of the front door of his store in a Glendale, Ariz., strip mall.

He said he supported law enforcement, and never imagined a thousand weapons, or half of the entire Fast and Furious inventory, would “walk” out of his store. And when arrests were not forthcoming, “every passing week I was more stunned,” he said.

As Kenny Solomon has said before: EVERYONE SINGLE ONE OF THESE PEOPLE INVOLVED IS GUILTY OF CAPITAL MURDER. DOJ OFFICIALS ESPECIALLY.

On the Dealer, Howard:

Howard made these tapes. He says he did it to trap the agent on the tapes into admitting things about the operation that she, her boss and the US Attorney had lied to Howard about.

For his side, go here and click on the interview with his lawyer. It’s well worth a listen:

Just WOW!!! The below is from an unknown writer in the Czech Republic:

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.

Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

The above could have been written by our most astute conservative pundits, or even our Founding Fathers. Some guy in western Europe gets it, but we don't as a nation.

I was thinking along the same lines. Had a Government employee used the term "collateral damage" it would have been the spark that would have blown this sky high. The dealer may have been one of the dealers that the DOJ leaned on to sell the weapons in the first place. Nevertheless, the term HAS been used now and Holder must deal with it.
