Legislative endorsements triple Mitt Romneys Granite State support
AUSTIN Gov. Rick Perry today announced support from 27 New Hampshire state representatives, adding to his strong grassroots and conservative political support in the Granite State.
Gov. Perrys record creating the nations best pro-jobs environment and commitment to get America working again is earning strong support from New Hampshire Republican leaders, said Perry campaign manager Rob Johnson. These 27 New Hampshire legislative endorsements triple the number of legislative endorsements announced by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney last week, and hes been running for president continually for four years.
The following New Hampshire state representatives support Gov. Perrys candidacy for President:

>> I don’t see anyone else to support. I am not going to support Palin, if she ever declares. And of course Mittens is to me a dem with an R after his name. Non of the others can win. I agree the whinos remind me of those people at DU.>>
That’s close to my thinking too, though I would consider Palin if she got in. I also like Cain and want to see if he can capitalize some on MB’s implosion and Santorum’s implosion and maybe pick off some Perry folks who were turned off by a few issues here and there. Having said that, I think Perry will win the nomination and while he’s far from perfect, I think he’ll whip Obama - and like you say, who else is there?
And frankly, the sheer immaturity and lack of logic and visceral hatred in some of the attacks on him make me like him more, not less.
I have been a strong Palin supporter for years, but I've grown tired of her arrogant little games. You're doing a good job at what you do Sarah, stay there. I'm not begging.
Hi! I watched the youtube video you provided. Fred Thompson seemed so at ease and in command during that debate (as Fred Thompson always did). He also did get the best of Mitt Romney on Romney’s healthcare problems!
Of particular interest to me was Romney’s admittance that he “likes mandates”. I couldn’t believe Romney said that when Fred Thompson was pounding him on Romneycare! Under stress, Romney even said something to the effect that all states should force all its citizens to have some kind of health insurance! That’s a far cry from Romney’s stand now that it was “right for Massachusetts”.
Here’s that link with that video in case someone didn’t see it earlier in this thread.

That video would be a great tool for the Perry camp to have, I would believe!
Also, it looked like you have been less than excited about Perry’s two debates. I’m with you on a less than stellar debate performance for Perry but will disagree with your thought he is less prepared. As far as his ideas and with issues, Perry is extremely well-versed. If you haven’t read Perry’s book “FED Up!” and may be interested in knowing more about him, you might want to get a copy of his book. He is very strong on Constitutional history and is passionate about how that works into today’s American society. He has lots of ideas and many conservative actions he has taken throughout the years. I think he seems to be very aware of what current events are happening and what current politicians are doing these days. He’s VERY knowledgeable.
However, I agree with you he has not come off in the debates as the person I just described in the paragraph above. The reason possibly? (And we are just talking possibles here...) Perry, in these last two presidential debates which were his FIRST two presidential debates, is still getting used to the debate “scene”, getting a feel for a specific national platform such as this. Remember, he was a late comer to the campaign and missed one or two earlier debates, losing that experience the others had. I felt as if Perry was quite a bit better in the second debate (here again talking performance wise) than he was his first debate. Hopefully we’ll see a better debating Perry tomorrow night, his third national debate.
Rick Perry will blow your socks off when you hear him give a speech. He is a wonderful speaker; he is passionate, and he can draw passion from those who listen. On the other hand, he’s new at presidential-style debates where as Mitt Romney has what... five years or so of experience doing them? That’s probably why Romney looks so strong and comfortable with debating.
I believe you’ll see Rick Perry pick up the pace as he goes along and as he feels more comfortable with the situation and with that specific environment. For his sake, I sure hope he’s a quick learner like that! LOL
Thanks again for sharing that youtube video of Fred Thompson debating Mitt Romney on Romneycare. Romneycare is certainly an issue that got buried these last couple of weeks with other things going on, and not only does Romneycare need to come out of hiding, Rick Perry should BLAST Romney just as Fred Thompson did in that video! Thanks for sharing it!
Lies and outright slander. Peddle your trash talk elsewhere.
The class of 98 does not use sarcasm tags.
I have serious doubts about that.
The purity peddlers among the Palin supporters would have a stroke if she accepted campaign contributions in the same pattern our system allows all campaigns to collect. They have so painted themselves into the proverbial corner on so many jot and tittles against Rick Perry, and picking for nits in his great head of hair, that her supporters will be
left insisting that she should just be coronated. That way she doesn’t have to even mount one of those icky ole campaigns. For the sake of purity and all, you know.
Quite the bear in the camper, is Perry. If only a capable Alaskan would come scare him off before he devours all...
How do you know the people that do not want open boarders, doubled budget or forced health care are all Palin supporters? There are others that have a problem with George W. Perry. We are consistant and do not sellout are principles.
It is fantastic!
>>> “ How do you know the people that do not want open boarders, doubled budget or forced health care are all Palin supporters? “ <<<
You have described perfectly both Rick Perry and his supporters, so we all agree! :)
My post was not directed to anyone who is against those things. It simply recognized the purists who will have crippled Sarah Palin and therefore she must be coronated.
Yes, endorsements in NH-27, SC-21 and one in Florida from the former chair of the GOP Party of Florida.
You both might want to recall the difference between Fred Thompson’s background and Perry’s.
Thompson is an attorney, a Senator, and an actor.
Perry is none of the above.
It makes a lot of common sense to expect more of Thompson and less of Perry on the debate stage.
I don’t care that much about electing a debater as President. I want them to come across well to the public, but I don’t care if the debate stage is a good format for them or not.
Bump!
Not that I am for Perry, but the door is closing on Palin due to indecisiveness.
“...I have been a strong Palin supporter for years, but I’ve grown tired of her arrogant little games. You’re doing a good job at what you do Sarah, stay there. I’m not begging....”
She’s not playing a game......And Sarah is definitely not arrogant.....Have you ever witnessed any arrogant behavior from Palin?....And if you answer, be honest and think before you do answer....Her interview with Hannity a couple of nights ago shows exactly what her strategy is....My hat is off to Hannity for always treating her with respect and dignity.....
“I have been a strong Palin supporter for years, but I’ve grown tired of her arrogant little games”
What arrogant games?
I find it amazing that any thread that has the word “Perry” in it gets sh*t on by zealots that are on par with ObamaBots.
Great point! Thanks for the insight!
