That the electorate will be outrged about her changing her mind about when or if to get in the race.
Why not? a lot of FReepers here go on and on about Perry changing his mind about running for POTUS. What goes around comes around, right?

I don't think it is possible for a candidate to create a "false past" on the Internet. It would be too easy for somebody to expose the falsehoods.

The problem with the people falling for the scam that was Obama wasn't due to bad information on the Internet. The truth about Obama was all over the Internet for all to see. The problem was that our so-called journalists decided not to report on it and all too many people swallowed the hype without checking Obama out for themselves. Just a few clicks on the Internet would have revealed that Obama is an anti-American socialist who was (thankfully) not experienced or competent enough to run a Dairy Queen, never mind a nation.

With enough money, fear of Islamic retaliation and the race card Obama used the weakness of a whole nation to prop up his Marxist agenda.

I bet if a computer generated candidate was to suddenly appear, never made a public appearance, had the perfect smile and all the right words people would walk on broken glass to meet him.

As someone above mentioned— there’s the book that just came out about her. She may have been waiting for that furor to pass. [So far, I can’t see that it’s a problem for her.]

For me, she needs to get in or get out. I’m not anti-Palin, but right now, I’m pro-Cain or -Perry. Her entrance into the race could alter that. But time’s passing.

Palin’s salary from Murdoch doesn't concern me.

The treatment Santorum and Gingrich got from Murdoch after floating trial balloons does, though.

Really, Carling, you need not worry about Fox News supporting Sarah Palin. They have been pushing your guy Rick Perry for President ever since he announced. (I personally find him to be the GOP's version of Bill Clinton, The Slickmeister.)

I'm curious about your tagline: (As of 9/12/11, FreeRepublic Is Now an Anti-Vaccine Community.). What the heck is that supposed to mean?

Carling’s tagline is a shameful lie to smear all FReepers if they don’t agree with Perry’s Executive Order to force the Gardasil vaccine.

I myself, am not for forced vaccination of Gardasil, but I don’t have a problem with vaccines that protect against viruses, spread through the air, that can cause outbreaks.

Finally. Someone who has made a valid point. I can understand her waiting for that to happen.

If she had declared for the Presidency before the McGinniss book came out, the MSM could have used the book as a VEHICLE to destroy her candidacy "stillborn".

Sarah had no way to know in advance what the reaction to the book would be.

The context is a bit different since he had already run in 1975 and it was expected for him to run again.

RE :”If she decides to run she had better have more than, I want to cut taxes and get People working again,we have 8 dopes reciting the same mantra over and over making my hair hurt.

It's always the same:

Republicans :”We need to cut taxes and regulations” (like this is a new line)

Democrats :”We need to ‘invest’ in our economy and the middle class(aka bribes)”

And the moderators spending time on idiot got-ya questions.

I haven’t noticed any Republican debate being “inane,” have you?

Its the questions that are often inane. The candidates themselves are trying hard to make the best of it.

What is your favorite color?

“Sarah is no Reagan.”

None of them are Reagan

When Reagan declared, he was no "Reagan" either, at least in the sense we now ascribe to being a "Reagan". Either at some diffuse moment during his 8 years, or perhaps for some, a time after leaving office, Ronald Reagan became known as the great "Reagan". *IF* a Perry, Cain or Palin are to become "Reagan" material, it will be after at least a few years of acting as president like Reagan.

None of them are Reagan, but which one of them has about as much charisma as Reagan - Palin!

So did Obama, and we saw how that worked out. Electing someone inexperienced and with a lot of charisma is not a recipe for success.

Even though undeclared, Palin is doing better than Obama with the Independents.

Only in one poll that I have seen. Let's see a few more with similar results, and maybe I'll start to believe it.

Okay, from June 13:

KING: ... we're running out of time here... "This or That."

Governor Pawlenty, to you, Coke or Pepsi?

KING: Governor Romney, to you now. ... Spicy or mild?

KING: Leno or Conan?

and, just to enforce the idiot's role:

KING: Well, let's stay on this topic.
