Yep. FOX is in the tank for Romney big time, but I knew that a long time ago.

Perry is not a good debater, but he is a conservative. Romney is a good debater, but his is a liar and a fraud. Romney will most likely be the nominee.

Not quite... Under the law, any student who has lived in Texas at least three years and graduated from a Texas high school qualifies for in-state tuition. The law also requires noncitizens to apply for citizenship

Hmm, leave them uneducated. Or, as I've recommended, be humane about it and give them a scholarship back in Mexico.

That will solve several problems ~ (1) Their presence in the US, (2) The lifetime of crime they would be expected to pursue (3) Their lack of education, and (4) Their deplorable American accents in Spanish ~

Wow, that was one meandering reply by Perry.

Agreed. It seems that he either can't organize his thoughts or can't articulate them concisely.

While none are perfect they all are better than Zero. We’d better get behind whomever gets the nod, even Cheech or Chong who’d be a heck of a step up from Obama.

Don't you think it would be cost effective to secure our Southern border? Illegal aliens cost this country $113 billion just in education, health care, and prison costs a year. This does not include the tens of thousands of American citizens who have been killed and injured by illegal aliens. And the social costs of drugs transported across that border are enormous.

Add to this the 300,000 to 400,000 anchor babies born each year to illegal aliens, most of them receiving Medicaid, food stamps, and welfare as American citizens. The fence would pay for itself many times over in just a year.

Agree.

And Romney knows what he stands for because he’s written it down. Wt???

Herman Cain speaks about his PLANS. He doesn’t attack or complain. And he stands like a professional up there.

Lovin’ Cain!

Not free, only 100,000 discount, since any American citizen from another state would need to pay 100,000 more. Have you got your illegal friend papers yet?

Do they have illegal friend papers? Great idea! ;)

It is against federal law to offer in-state tuition to illegal aliens. The federal Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 “prohibits states from providing a postsecondary education benefit to an alien not lawfully present in the United States on the basis of residence unless any U.S. citizen or national is eligible for the same benefit.”

Sanctuary cities are also illegal under federal law, but no one is doing anything about it. Do you want to leave it up to the states as well?

For Sara Palin fans. Sorry folks. Her heart seems to be in the right place, but her I.Q. leaves a lot to be desired.

Your spelling and sentence structure shows you to be eminently qualified to pass judgment on her intelligence.

LOL

Nope...the Jefferson letter is immaterial. The First Amendment is the MUCH MORE important issue that is misinterpreted. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."

The reason this was put in was that 12 of the 13 colonies had specific religious requirements for officeholders (and VA was working on theirs) and they did NOT want the feds to interfere with them. For example, Delaware required belief in the Trinity; others required belief in Christ.

The current interpretation of the First Amendment is a travesty...it is the First Amendment that counts, not what Jefferson wrote to the Baptists of Danbury in 1802.
