New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race — and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

Maybe Perry doesn't look so horrible next to Christie. Perry's for the second amendment, pro life, LOVES state rights. The list goes on.
Conservatives keep screaming for a different candidate but they'd better be careful what they wish for.

It is likely this website will lead the charge to attack any and all candidates running who can actually win, while they tank slurp from the Palin cistern at clinical proportion. It has become a dangerous pathology of disruption to common discourse ammong conservatives batting for actual candidates, and the tank think for a non candidate only serves to advance the Obama strategy to balcanize Republicans, far more than it serves to keep alive the faux politician, Sarah Palin, who remains propped up solely by fanatics, who have destroyed her chances. Even she can not pass their purity test. Certainly her most obnoxious supporters fail that test.

Ann Coulter is an anti birther. Too bad Christie is too friendly with Islam. He would be better than Newt, Mitt and LBJ-Perry.

Can’t get over you guys not understanding vetting candidates. This is the primary and they are competing for the prize, it’s a race among them not Obama. Newt does a good job exposing Obama and in part why he remains running...he keeps the focus on Obama while the others make their case...in time whoever raises to the top will be trashing Obama and not take their foot of his neck while doing so.

This party is just beginning and you expect people to have a candidate already for the ballot? As we have seen all along if anything nobody should be parking car until these guys are fully vetted and the cards are on the table. THAT is being a responsible citizen!
