Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore has called for an economic boycott of the state of Georgia to protest Wednesday's execution of Troy Davis, the Savannah man convicted of murdering an off-duty police officer in 1989.
"I encourage everyone I know to never travel to Georgia, never buy anything made in Georgia, to never do business in Georgia," Moore wrote on his website in a blog item posted a few hours after Davis' death.

Allegra.. It is a beautiful state, I’ve been here for two weeks visiting adult daughter and husband and must return up North tomorrow...sad to leave...
The weather is almost perfect, the communities out of Atlanta are beautiful, clean, modern, well cared for and the people are very kind..I love to come here and visit, shop and relax. We have done some wonderful dining out and the places are always packed full..the economy must be doing OK here..
want a nice place to visit...head South to Georgia...we are in a neat community, Cumming, GA.

I have friends who used to live in Macon (Buckhead before they had kiddos) and visited a couple of times and loved it. Loved Atlanta, loved Stone Mountain, loved it all.
I was born just south of the Georgia state line in the Florida panhandle. Dad was deployed (USN) and Mom went to her hometown to have me.
