Trying to remain an optimist here also. Primary worry, at this point, is those who are already here in the U.S.A., and those making their way here from both the north and south borders. Down south, anyone, and do mean anyone can be bought. Knowing this sounds less optimistic than I desire to sound; I am trying to remain optimistic, but sometimes it is difficult. This is a guess (everything I type is a guess). Would think, at this point, the diplomatic diplomacy has reached a fever pitch around the world, and there is only yelling and finger pointing taking place, and nothing is being settled, while all wait for the next shoe to drop or be thrown. Another guess ... the next shoe to drop or be thrown is in the already planned out stages waiting to be implemented. Wishing one could know where that would be. (sigh) ... remember sometimes it is difficult to be optimistic. Looking at late Spring (next year) as a possible point of another major event. This is only a guess.

I’m with y’all on this one.....only with a twist. My contention for years now is that we pull out of these pissant, unwinnable wars and very publicly warn the Muslim world thusly:
One more atrocity against the US or one of our allies, one more act of jihad, etc., and our response will be the following:
We will nuke one of your religious centers, starting with Mecca, totally obliterating it. Medina would be next. Then we’d start on your capitals, beginning with Tehran, followed by Damascus.
You set off a bomb or hijack a plane, we take out a city unblinkingly.
This would not be an idle threat, and it’s undoubtedly one we’d have to make good on at least once. If Russia or China balked at such a threat....screw ‘em. Truth is, I think they’d secretly love it given their own major problems with Islam.

Unload some statregic ordinance to negate Iran, Pakistan, and some other Muslim enemies,
THEN give India a bunch of our warships, including some of our older carriers instead of decommissioning them.

OBama wants to see Israel erased from the map through extended terrorist tactics and attrition rather than to see a Moslem military defeat. Attacks against Israel by stateless terrorists are an accepted fact of life. If a defined state launches such attacks, they are acts of war and will lead to the decisive defeat of the moslem hordes threatening Israel. That's the last thing Barack ibn Hussein al-Obama wants to see.
I guess we’ll just have to see how it plays out. Meanwhile here is some late news on Libya. It seems they new government is actually giving woman a real role in the country’s defense. Over 200 women have graduated military training in Benghazi starting in March, and now the effort is being spread more widely.
