My idea is that the sexuality of the individual in the military should be irrelevant. Do not celebrate or denigrate. It is a personal thing and the business of nobody else, just get in their and destroy those who seek to harm your country-men.
It's a mental disease and we need leaders to recognize this and stop forcing it on our military services.

Your stand implicitly holds up a gross sexual deviation as normal. It dismisses the revulsion most people experience when in inescapable proximity to it. The tolerant opinions most Americans have traditionally held with respect to homosexuality are (whether or not they realize it)conditional upon it being a PRIVATE point.
If it is done between two consenting adults, and does not harm anybody else, then what is the problem? One can make a moral judgement, and still acknowledge that liberty allows people to do something.
