Morning AB and thanks once again for the thread.
Just getting back from Pigeon Forge,Sevierville and Gatlinburg,Tenn. where I was pleasantly surprised that civility, Christianity and good will among men are still alive.
The resort we stayed in(mountainside cabin) had a sign prominently hung that said, we don't take the Lord's name in vain and we expect the same from our guests(or words to that effect) letting me know that sanity, religion and good old American values are still alive and well in one of the most beautiful regions of the country.

Morning AB, All.
Singing in the choir this morn, will join in around noonish.
As always, thank you AB, for doing this thread.
My sister is moving to Florida next week. She thinks the Florida doctors will cure her from her awful stroke. It’s a long story, maybe you hadda be there.
So what does an a capella choir have to do with liberals and how they work?
Later in the thread I might explain but for now I’m eager for Obamer to pass his jobs bill and guess who I saw in Walmart the other day! There she was standing in line, Moochelle Obamer!
I didn’t call the AP photographer but there he was but hey, Moochelle in the Walmart, will wonders never cease?

The Herman Cain book tour kicks into full gear.
To: Alas Babylon!
Good morning, AB! Thanks for the thread!
Glad to see Herman Cain getting the opportunity to interact with the Sunday talk show circus.
I expect Christiane Amanpour to quiz Herman Cain about how many years Maaouya Ould Sid'Ahmed Taya ruled Mauritania before the coup in 2005.

Romney network FNC’s Wallace has been practicing before a mirror every “gotcha” he can in preperation to the Cain interview—always careful not to “appear” racist—but it is so easy not to appear “racist” when attacking a black conservative it is an irrelevant worry.
Foxnews sux—Murdoch is senile-Ailes is a sell-out.

Cain: Congress wouldn't raise the 999 because it is visible and would require a 2/3 vote of the Senate.
[Cain doesn't know much about Congress. They will find all kinds of tricks to get their treats. Unintended consequences of 999 would have a monstrous new tax code in 50 years.]
Until 'spending' is addressed and curbed,
tax schemes are not going to resolve anything.

Kristol: Tea Party would vote for Cristie. Who else would they vote for? Obama? They will take Cristie and like him — just like they did John McCain in 2008.

It never ceases to amaze me how on MTP,Leftist extremism is portrayed as commonsense and slightly right of center RINO opinions like those that emanate from the once solidly conservative Peggy Noonan are presented as droll if misguided dissent.

Just watched Herman Cain on the re-broadcast of FoxNews Sunday -
WOW!! The more I hear him the more I like him!!
Especially how he took the CSN article to task not on it's findings, but on it's assumptions, and was able to articulate his own assumptions and 9-9-9 conclusions in such a simple and articulate manner!

OK I caught a little bit of FNS and the beginning on MTP. Its obviously a left wing talking point and run with this "republican audience booed gay soldier" crap. Anyone with half a brain ( that would apparently exclude John McCain) could listen or watch a tape of that debate and it was at most 2 or 3 people "booing" the gay soldier. They know that most people will not bother to check the tape and they will just obediently believe anything the MSM tells them. And quite frankly it ticks me off that these left wing bastards would get away with this. Even McCain fell for this crap. The lies have to be refuted at every turn.
On the favorable side CBS This Morning had a nice story on John Wayne this morning. Hope folks had a chance to see that.

Chris Wallace had a good interview with not only Herman Cain but also Robert Johnson and Fred Smith. Johnson, founder of BET network, was a Clinton supporter and has been a big democrat contributor. Smith, founder of Federal Express is a Republican. They both were concerned about the taxes and regulations that are holding back American industry and Robert Johnson referred to the situation as a political cold war going on. He has been critical of Obama recently and I was particularly intrigued by his final words of the interview. Johnson said there has to be a decision about "which ideology they want". I take that to mean that Johnson is aware that this is a capitalism vs socialism/progressive war and he is definitely a capitalist. Herman Cain, Robert Johnson and Fred Smith each earned their wealth through hard work and investments in American business. All of these men came from modest to middle America backgrounds. All are hard working achievers who do not apologize for their wealth. Johnson was quite articulate on that point. He earned his wealth and expects to make use of it however he wants, luxury included. A good show today for Chris Wallace.
