“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of powe, of LOVE and of self-discipline. 2 Tim 1:7

The biggest loser of the Florida straw poll has to be Mitt Romney. Here is someone who has been anointed by the Country Club as their favorite, who has been campaigning for eight years and he comes in a distant third. He was awarded the winner of the debates by the all-knowing conservative elites who were tingling in their chairs about how much he looked and sounded like Reagan. Of course you would too if you studied Reagan speeches for the past decade, but they all but gave him a trophy at the end of the debate and yet he loses the straw poll? Perry has an excuse that he is the newcomer and blew the debate while Mitt has no excuse for being so thoroughly rejected by the voters.

This is not your average straw poll since the Florida poll has some very strict rules on who can vote and where they are from. You have to pay for your own ticket so candidates have no way to stuff the ballot box with the Ron Paul astrovoters. This is a measure of the true Florida activists and who they believe made the best case for their vote and it was Cain, a fine choice. They made a powerful statement that the Country Club wasn’t going to decide who they were going to vote for or were going to be convinced to vote for the moderate for pragmatic reasons. They voted for whom they thought was the most Conservative and articulate, the Herminator.

Once again the pundiots have egg all over their faces going on and on how we need to elect somebody those precious Independents and moderates are going to tolerate. Just throw the Conservative voters down the elevator shaft again since they will vote for no matter who you throw at them and perhaps toss them a Conservative bone as VP, but make sure you have that NE Rino at the top of the ticket so you can trick the middle voters into voting for a Republican. Never mind the Conservatives aren’t going to beat the streets, just use the same old tired political science formulas they have been using for decades to steal the election from the Dems, to maintain their status quo. The Floridians just tore their formula up and threw the political elite down the shaft by picking a true Conservative in Cain. How about we give America a real choice for a change?

The only concern we should be aware of is that we don’t choose Cain simply because of race. We have been called racists for so long we don’t want to be voting for a candidate simply because he is Black to prove we aren’t racist. That would be worse than the Obozo vote, where liberals voted from White guilt, so we don’t want to be succumbing to their thuggish tactics. This is likely not the case since Cain has some of the most Conservative thoughts of any speaker on the stage and is already getting the Clarence Thomas treatment himself for his skin.

We need to nominate a true Conservative this year. We are going to hear over and over by the Kristol/Krauts who declared Mitt the debate winner, when in fact he lost horribly; sharing their vast knowledge of elections and continue with a moderate Republicrat theme. We never hear how the Dems have to pick a moderate or what the record is of our great moderate candidates, we just have to listen to their formulas on how to win elections. Ignore the results we have seen but simply listen to the Punditocracy and vote for that middle of the roader, so compromise your beliefs for the greater good. That is exactly how you give Obama a second term although our pundits will continue to receive extra helpings of Brie and Chablis at his inauguration.

America is looking for a leader who stands on principles and that person must be a true blue Conservative. Conservatives who understand the philosophy will promote the movement and articulate the importance of the movement in our lives. They will share their beliefs with all of the people and will drag the moderates over to our side as people who are followers will begin to follow. There is no leadership in Obama only hatred and disdain which will simply lead us into oblivion. Americans can see right through him now and are willing to listen to trying a program we have never tried before, pure Conservative capitalism. We need to eliminate the socialist and communist programs to save us from this economic disaster we have been building for the past 50 years.

It is time to give America a real choice between a true Conservative and a communist. We have some entrenched Ponzi schemes built up in the District of Corruption that need exposing and reforming which only can be done by a capitalist willing to take on some powerful forces. The person who does it will be attacked from all sides starting with our lying media so character and fortitude are going to be tested like never before in their lives. We are seeing people being tested in perhaps the most interesting and dynamic process we have witnessed in our lifetimes. The Cain victory has shown the people are ready to vote for a person of their choosing which very well may be the candidate willing to take the steps we need to be taken to bring America back to our Founders’ dream.

Pray for America

I really regret not being in Orlando and casting my vote as I actually had the chance but was not able to fit it in.

Sadly, the candidacy of any black candidate will go nowhere after three plus years of ozero endlessly playing the race card to the point where Americans are now political assets instead of American citizens first.

In Cain's situation zero has played the race card so much that most all black candidates will be seen as black first and Americans second. Perhaps this is the legacy of Barry/barak Hussein whatever his real name actually is.

I believe this too...however I am skeptical of a non-politician trying to fit a capitalist agenda in Washington...I guess we have tried everything else.
Move over Perry, it looks like it is comparison time

Good thinking, bray. The establishment on both sides hate Cain because they despise us. For them, the business of government is looting the taxpayers and not Constitutional government and people like Cain and Palin stand in their way. Neither will ever get "fair" treatment.

Good points Bray, as always.

Let take the time now to mention Christie, another NE Republican that the Blue Bloods want us to nominate.

Christie has pretty much done nothing so far as any claim to fame goes. Which is not to deny him credit for taking on the NJ unions with some force but look at poor Gov Walker in Wisconsin. They beat that man to a bloody pulp all for wanting to just reduce their negotiation items. Nobody’s pounding drums for Walker to run for Prez.

Beyond that, the man believes in manmade global warming, he refused to have NJ join the state’s lawsuit against Obamacare, he’s got questionable stands on the second ammendment and most damning of all, at least to this Delawarian, when our state was struggling against the slams and hurts of our own political party to get that RINO Mike Castle out of power....CHRISTIE ENDORSED THE MAN!

Yet every week we hear Christie, oh please Christie, please, please, please Christie. And Christie looks long-suffering as he purses his fat lips and denies, with great pain, that he cannot run, does not want to run. Crazy Ann Coulter, who evidently gets hot and bothered over fat men who would cushion her boney self, done lost all credibility as the sane with her gusto over Christie.

Since I’m a roll here, there was a thread on FreeRepublic the other day, a vanity thread I think, where someone posed the question of what effect Christie’s great weight would hold against him if the Blue Bloods Bush, and Karl Rove who has Christie snug in his pocket, were to get their way and the man actually, somehow, got the nomination.

Come on guys, CHRISTIE IS HUGE! He’s not just a portly fellow and goodness knows I could shed twenty pounds and not miss them. Americans might even, given a stretch and after years of the Obamas and their cilantro pizzas, be happy to have someone with a few pounds on their frames but Christie, check it out, is waaaaaaaay big.

I swear I don’t even buy into this ersatz notion that America’s presidents have to be perfectly healthy and I’d vote for Herman Cain despite his cancerous history. But Christie is hideously fat.....that’s right I said it.

His obesity would be forever a distraction in any kind of political campaign and I throw it out there cause I’m on an anti-Christie rant and like Bray, I’m sick of the Blue Blood GOP picking our candidates.

Look at their history...McCain? Dole? Here in Delaware the Blue Bloods pick jokes to run for office but let us pick a candidate they don’t like it’s nothing but mockery that they never level on a Republican.

Another wonderful post, Bray, and thanks for sharing again, AB!

“The person who does it will be attacked from all sides starting with our lying media so character and fortitude are going to be tested like never before in their lives.”

One of the best ways to fight the media lies (spread in tv commercials by so many BHO-loving groups such as AARP) is to spend as many campaign, tea party, etc., dollars on rebuttal commercials that simply tell the TRUTH to the public - one primary example is to tell the older folks that we do NOT intend to take away their current benefits and, to the younger ones as well as their parents and grandparents, that we are committed to reforming health care, Medicare/Medicaid and Social Security to assure their SURVIVAL, otherwise these will all DIE if continued under the current status quo, bankrupt system.

Republicans and all who oppose BHO have GOT to start blasting the airways to set the record straight on these lies fed to our seniors in particular.

It would have been MUCH better all these years for conservatives en masse to simply shrug off the racist accusation and ask why the accuser keeps advocating positions that have destroyed the black family, urban neigborhoods, etc.

“OK. Have it your way. I’m a racist. But YOU are the one who created the programs that resulted in a 70 percent illegitimacy rate among the black community and all the attendant problems that come with that—not me. I was against all those programs.”

Interesting insight about Romney.

I don’t even know what to think about Cain. I like him a lot but he’s just entered the war zone. I wonder if the press will hold off on him like they did on Obama because he’s black. And Cain actually is black, not some weird hybrid.

Somehow I don’t think they will. So I hope nothing emerges that ruins Cain as a candidate.

I’m still hoping Sarah runs and I still like my Texas governor. He may be ruined or he may not. We’ll see.

Also, I hope we will concentrate thoroughly on continuing our 2010 victories in the House and Senate. If we can get both those bodies packed with conservatives it won’t matter quite so much about the true conservatism of the president.

Oh, it will matter. I just mean it will be a fail safe position.

Can’t hardly get on Free Republic these days. Bitterness and invective just seep from the screen into my room and make me feel bad.
