This is actually pretty common in other countries, adopting the cachet of a famous chain but changing a few of the details
I’ve seen restaurants in Africa back in the 90’s named after Michael Jackson or one of his songs and using his picture.
Nicks Fried Chicken in Kaiserslautern Germany tasted just like KFC. Nick swore he had the recipe.
My favorite was McPato’s in David, Panama. They guy wanted a McDonalds franchise, but they wouldn’t give it to him for some reason, so he did up his own version.
My order? Nega...nega chicken...nega, nega mashed potatoes...nega corn...
Cooked goose might be more appropriate.
