I don’t think Cain pulled the race card but he should not comment on things that he has no facts on.

Don’t hand me that. This kind of crap in this article about Perry is implied all the time toward our candidates and to be honest, we are sick and tired of these cheap shots. Don’t tell me Cain didn’t know this was a race card he was playing. He knows how it is played.

And any of us oldtime boaters has probably used the term.

I am so very offended by these do-gooders sterilizing quaint colloquialisms. A niggerhead, in the western vernacular, is a big, rounded rock or outcropping - and can mean anything from a large stone in a road to a feature on a mountain. I doubt it has a racial connotation at all, and if it did have any, it is long gone. It probably comes from sea faring folks' use of the word for coral outcroppings, and that (since they can tie to it), from the bollard.

Lord help us if we ever went hunting 'chinks' (the Chinese pheasant is called a 'chink' all over the west)... or 'injun'd up on something... MANY colloquialisms are offensive at their root, and language is made cheaper without them.

Cain had no choice in saying what he said as a man of color. If he had not told the TRUTH, MANY would have denounced him and labeled him an “uncle tom!” Him making an honest assessment and calling a rival “insensitive” is much less damaging to him and his campaign than appearing as a race traitor or something similar!

I believe ANY person can reasonably say that a name like that would be insensitive and unimpressive. Just because conservatives aren’t fans of censorship or race baiting doesn’t mean we have to automatically excuse genuinely racist commentary!

Please stop freaking out about this...please relax a bit. Cain is human just like the rest of us and he has a right to speak what is on his mind. Isn’t that what attracted most of you to him in the first place?!

Chances are we all disagree with one or two things our wives, or children or friends have said or done! This doesn’t mean, however, we flat out throw them under the bus as a result. We need to just move past it!

I see we have activated our circular firing squad yet again.

These idiots all seem oblivious to the fact that slandering each other just brings Obambi closer to his second term. Bachmann, Santorum, and now Cain have all gotten into the act.

How completely, utterly disappointing.

The Candidate Destruction Team looks like they have Cain in their cross hairs now.

I'm not sure why we eat our own as we do, but it seems to be the new norm.

It’s going to be Romney smelling like roses when the GOP gets done with themselves.

Please understand US. This is not about black people. This is about demonizing any white person over 30 years old. And to demonize Perry for this ignores how far we’ve come in 30 years. So YOU back off. You are doing more damage than you can imagine.

Are you saying that Cain has no courage to stand up to the Uncle Tom attacks? So he lets an innocent man be attacked as a racist without taking up for him?

I think what Cain did was code for “Come and get him, boys” and tomorrow they will starting with Al Sharpton.

No, I’m, not calming down. The more I think about this and your excuse for him, the more angry I get.

Yep. The fix has been in for a while now. Romney gets our nomination.

Then one of two things happen, neither of them good.

1. A third party candidate from the right runs and splits the conservative vote and Obama coasts to his second term

or

2. Romney somehow manages to keep the party together and wins, but then resorts to his RINO ways reforming absolutely nothing

Option two is probably actually the worse one because the economy won't get any better, and the GOP will get the blame. This will damage the party and our cause even more than Compassionate Conservative Bush did.

I hate to say it, but I am rather afraid that you may be correct about the fix being in; and if that's the case, then I am quite sure the only two possibilities flowing from that are the two you've laid out.

Look at Google Earth....ask and you shall receive.

33 deg. 01’23.03”N
99 deg. 25’21.91”W

The sign the best I remember, is just north of the road that jogs to the northwest then it turns southwest. The fence north of that road that runs northwest-southeast and ends at the Clear Fork of the Brazos River....well if you look hard, you’ll see a little white dot between the fence and the road, to the left of the main road....that my friends is the sign...the best that I recall.

The hunting camp is the buildings north of this by the river.

Thanks.

With Google Earth around there's no sense in allowing people to write news articles that are factually inaccurate with respect to what's on the ground. I say PUSH BACK even if you don't like the candidate.

Perry is receiving the brunt of all the attacks. He has not attacked any conservative on the stage. He has only gone after Romney, Ron Paul and Obama.

One by one those sweet little conservatives have taken turns attacking Perry and no one else while Romney skates by. The only one on the stage that has not attacked Perry yet is Gingrich.

Today, Cain played the race card on Perry, pure and simple. Some here in their hatred for Perry will excuse it.

But deep down, you know what he did and you guys are just as ugly.

I'm not into conspiracy theories or plots, but there could be some truth in what you post. Two facts. Romney is the GOP establishment candidate and he is the next one in line to be the nominee. Cain endorsing Romney in 2008 is a red flag. Nothing more. After the Florida straw poll last weekend Fox News highlighted Cain at the start of their evening news show on both Sat & Sun and promoted him for several days after wards. And as we all know there are quite a few neocon pundits and newsfolks who work at FNC.

Lots of dots to connect. We'll see.

You are absolutely correct. We have Democrats in the know in these threads who want to keep this on the path that leads everybody away from realizing this was a set up attack on Cain ~ which involved Chris Wallace (probably unknowingly, but there's a staff guy there who's going to be in plenty of trouble over it).

We have die hard Perbots who will demand that EVERY insult be construed to be directed at their boy. Fact is the Leftwingtards thought Perry was washed up in this campaign so they don't care. Remember, Cain already said he wouldn't be supporting Perry.

Look Perbots, NOBODY OVER THERE CARES. The target was Cain.

You are accusing Cain of setting this up by getting the Washington Post to write a cock and bull story and then feeding Chris Wallace his questions.

All highly unlikely.

MANY colloquialisms are offensive at their root, and language is made cheaper without them.

It always struck me that the term "German engineering" can be used with pride in automobile marketing campaigns. Yet, if one were to refer to "African engineering", the PC police would be all over that individual.
