Herman Cain Rhymes with Hurricane: Fund-Raising Surges in Third Quarter
The Other McCain ^ | 1 Oct 2011 | Robert Stacey McCain & Smitty

The buzz coming from the Herman Cain campaign is that they will be the only presidential campaign — including Obama and GOP front-runner Mitt Romney — whose third-quarter fund-raising numbers are better than their second-quarter numbers.

Cain’s strong performance in debates Sept. 12 in Tampa and Sept. 22 in Orlando, followed by his shocking upset win in the Sept. 24 Florida GOP straw poll, ignited a massive influx of online contributions.

Most of Cain’s third-quarter total will be from small donors (less than $200), and more than $1 million of the quarterly total will have been raised in the last 10 days of September.

“Other candidates are raising thousands of dollars from a few people. Herman Cain is raising a few dollars from thousands of people,” consultant Brad Marston wrote in the e-mail

I am not a Perry supporter and do not know why you would make that assumption. Jumping to conclusions will cause you to lose weight. What Perry said about not having a heart was one more nail in his coffin. Please do not make assumptions before reading my posts from over the years on these forums.

Here is PERRY’S RACE CARD:

“And the bottom line is it doesn’t make any difference what the sound of your last name is. That is the American way. No matter how you got into that state, from the standpoint of your parents brought you there or what have you. And that’s what we’ve done in the state of Texas.”

Anyone who thinks that word has anything to do with a racial slur is just plain ignorant, and its putting their ignorance on display for the world.

Geez look it up in a dictionary.

niggard Look up niggard at Dictionary.com
mid-14c., nygart, of uncertain origin. The suffix suggests French origin (cf. -ard), but the root word is probably related to O.N. hnøggr “stingy,” from P.Gmc. *khnauwjaz (cf. Swed. njugg “close, careful,” Ger. genau “precise, exact”), and to O.E. hneaw “stingy, niggardly,” which did not survive in M.E.

niggardly Look up niggardly at Dictionary.com
1560s, from niggard + -ly (2).

If you look up the racist word it is from the 18th century, not the 16th.

English fail.

Well it’s a good thing you won’t have to worry about it then, because Perry is finished.

"Just when some of us thought that we could actually support Herman Cain he ups and plays the race card"

I wouldn't say that he specifically played the race card per se but he himself got played... By the media.

I think one race playing president is enough. I have been on this forum for a number of years and yes you are correct. There seems to be several extremists and trolls on every forum. These folks are either very sensitive to their own views or else are here just to spread dissent amongst the older members.

He said he wouldn’t support Perry RIGHT NOW, for the nomination. He didn’t say he wouldn’t support AS the GOP nominee.

I sure wouldn’t support Perry for the nomination right now either, not when we have better choices. Cain, Bachmann, Santorum, and Palin (if she ran) would ALL be better choices than Perry.

I have no problem with people disagreeing with Cain on REAL issues. Too bad all people can come up with is soap opera fodder produced by the lamestream media.

There is plenty of evidence over the years to back up Cain’s committment to conservatism, but folks like you will never go and read proof I post.

Cain thought he had a full house when he played the race card
on Perry, but it seems he just lost the whole pot.

I’m so tired of the race politics that Obama serves up with a shovel, can’t stomach anymore.

Fine, I’m not going to check your posts but will take your word that your righteous indignation about playing the race card applies no less to the race card played by Rick Perry.

Then we just disagree here.

I for one will not begrudge an older black man for saying that language like “n*gger-head” is insensitive when he is directly asked about it.

This is a world away from what people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do.

Herman Cain just said many blacks were brainwashed by not even being open to considering conservative ideas, and was essentially called a bigot by people like Al Sharpton.

Nice try to spin his utterly strange remarks that he would support Obama over Perry !

The guy is hot head who panders to the Obama state media hit pieces by throwing Perry using the Race card . He could have been smart and call the Wash Compost hit piece garbage but he PILED ON ! Then he went for a twofer with the Gay victim card and THREW ALL OF US under the bus.
Obama accused all Repubs of being gay bashers with his remark and Cain agreed !
