The Left’s Pathetic Tea Party
NRO ^ | 10/4/11 | RICH LOWRY

The Left’s Pathetic Tea Party The Occupy Wall Street movement is a juvenile rabble.

In the Occupy Wall Street movement, the Left thinks it might have found its own tea party.

MoveOn.org and some unions have embraced the protesters. The left-wing Campaign for America’s Future is featuring them at its conference devoted to reinvigorating progressivism. Liberal opinion-makers have celebrated them — Washington Post columnist E. J. Dionne welcomes their spirit, and New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof compares them, astonishingly enough, to the demonstrators at Egypt’s Tahrir Square.

This is a sign either of desperation to find anyone on the left still energized after three years of Hope and Change, or of a lack of standards, or both. The Left’s tea party is a juvenile rabble, a woolly-headed horde that has been laboring to come up with one concrete demand on the basis of its — in the words of one sympathetic writer — “horizontal, autonomous, leaderless, modified-consensus-based system with roots in anarchist thought.”

The Right’s tea party had its signature event at a rally at the Lincoln Memorial where everyone listened politely to patriotic exhortations and picked up their trash and went home. The Left’s tea party closed down a major thoroughfare in New York City — the Brooklyn Bridge — and saw its members arrested in the hundreds.

The author states the obvious being that all liberals are juveniles no matter their age. Civilization's response should be a resounding "dry it up and grow up!"

Lowry should not even associate them with the TEA Party. These idiots don’t come close to being grassroots like the TEA Party.

That graphic looks like an alien hybrid baby dying of asphyxiation.

How did you get hold of a movie of Carville as a baby? That is the creepiest thing I’ve seen in quite awhile.

The Right’s tea party had its signature event at a rally at the Lincoln Memorial where everyone listened politely to patriotic exhortations and picked up their trash and went home.

No Rich, that event was Glenn Beck's "Restoring Honor," which Beck specifically asked not to be a "Tea Party" with associated signs and such.

The Tea Party's signature event was 9/12/09 in front of the Ork's Capitol in Mordor-on-the-Potomac.

The sad thing is that the “Rights” Tea party should have been protesting the FRAUD from Wall Street and the Investment banks, and the connected Fraud and corruption from Government before these people did. The lefts tea party just wants to enrich themselves and establish Communism in America. The rights tea party should have been about re-establishing the rule of law and a return to being rewarded if you do things within the law, and punished if you do not. For instance- If you are a saver(for some future purpose) than you should be rewarded and not punished. If you cheat with some get rich scheme, and break the law then you should be punished. That is just plain.....American.

If the rights tea party thinks that America can keep existing without fixing the financial fraud in America then they are sadly misinformed. If they think that wall street and the investment banks are just operating on the up and up under the system of capitalism then they about as ignorant as they could be. How is that high frequency trading working out for, but the few that have the power and connections to use it at the expense of all others.

Tea party events - every single gum wrapper cleaned up. Place cleaner than they found it.

I’d like to see a report of the state of Wall Street right now.

The protesters want to be feared.

In any other place, this would be called Bullying.

In fact, remember when the libs were out there screaming about the "fear" the Tea Party was invoking?

But the unbiased, non partisan media dub these clowns "heroic".

‘I’d like to see a report of the state of Wall Street right now.’-

Bill O reilly ‘reported’ they are costing the city ‘millions’. Businesses are complaining about the damage being done to their business physically and fiscally.

Nah, the mainstream protect Obama media, certainly won’t report on that.

It’s the Tea party they enjoyed reporting as violent, extremist etc....Not the ones that actually are.
