Now this thread has given me a chance to vent, I am done with bashing the Palinistas.

I have been crystal clear (as much as possible) in identifying the extreme fringe of the Gov. Palin supporters. These were the people who savagely attacked anyone who objectively analyzed Gov. Palin’s attachment to the political arena as being lacking to one degree or another.

But, to their credit, many FReepers who supported Gov. Palin didn’t find it a need to both crown her the 2nd coming of Reagan and excoriate anyone/everyone who dared speak the truth. The very truth Gov. Palin herself walked up to in her decision not to run. The FReepers if whom I speak attempted to balance their enthusiasm with political reality. These are the people who grabbed pom poms and jumped in support — and the people I respected.

The detrimental aspect was that many extreme palinestas decided the best way to support Gov. Palin was to denigrate the identifiable candidates of her detractors (one need only look at the 600 through 900 post IDs in this thread for many examples of this phenomenon).

We defended her because the media and other Republicans were attacking her.

Good lost today. Evil won.

Agreed and well stated. It is time to move on and fight Romney and get a real conservative (who is running) the nomination.

There are some posters I wish to forget..It will take time..I scroll past..I don’t do flame wars.

Just remember how the worst personal attackers make their candidate less appealing. It’s a natural reaction..but one I fought personally. Represent your candidate well!

One poster I had enjoyed reading in past years denigrated my state and the intelligence of the people residing there..

The condescending attitude was eye opening. It did not warm my heart toward their candidate.

I mostly read on the politics threads anyway..but I read a lot.

May God guide us to choose our words and our candidates wisely.
We all want Obama out.
