OccupyWallStreet - Not
Myself | Oct 5, 2011 | Oceander

Posted on 10/05/2011 8:42:05 PM PDT by Oceander

A little tourists' cornucopia from the big, bad OccupyWallStreet thingey. I took the images below on my way to work this morning - discarded most of 'em cause they were just too pathetic - and thought I'd share them. My absolute fave is that earnest-looking upper middle class white kid in the bottom 4 pix (my "vignettes") - especially the last one, where he's so neatly folding his Buzz Lightyear towel - probably still smells like the Downy fabric softener mommie used when she washed it for him.

Please feel free to borrow as you wish, and to editorialize as you wish - but only so long as you isolate, polarize, and ridicule.

Lastly, just a warning - these pics are the small(er) versions of my originals. If you click on one, it will open up a larger version in a new window. Be forewarned, however: the larger files are about 1.1MB to 1.4MB in size.

Enjoy! I might bring my videocam with me tomorrow morning and stroll through the "encampment" like some awestruck tourist type.

Hey, O, that’s awesome!!! Please video take them and bring us the truth. I keep hearing ABC spouting ‘thousands’ there. Looks like a ‘p*ss poor’ turnout.

I understand the cold weather is on the way. ;-)

You got it. They get a bit more oomph into their little crybaby "marches" around downtown - usually from the union thugs who've been ordered out into the streets to join them - parasites of a feather stick together and all that - but yes, that is basically the sum and substance of "OccupyWallStreet." Worse yet, they don't even seem to know where Wall Street really is; I put together this little visual aid to point out just how far off the mark they are:

Yup, which means the real down-and-out types - the street bums - will be showing up to "share the warmth" pretty soon. I wonder how long these pretty-boy trustafarians are going to put up with Stinky Pete - and his pet lice and other assorted vermin - spooning with 'em for warmth.

Yup. Thank God for capitalism, otherwise they'd be toughing it out under dirty old cast-off blankets and soiled second-hand mattresses (with bedbugs, no doubt), and paying twice the price for that dubious privilege, too.

ConEd should cut the electricity to wherever they are charging their computers and phones.

Cut them off the ‘net, this silliness will collapse. They’ll crawl home to mom’s basement or their dorms or whatever.

I'm going to try and get some pics (or some vid) of these characters using netbooks, laptops, cell phones, smart phones, whatever, tomorrow, just to expose the hypocrisy: but for capitalism, none of those gadgets would exist; we'd probably still be lugging around the so-called "satellite" phones from the early 80s and a service contract would cost you several thousand a year.

Thanks for the pix of the “poor, starving, huddled masses.”

BTW, Is this the FIRST Octoberfest for the Anti-Capitalists?

If so, I think each succeeding Octoberfest should have an ever-increasingly stylish theme. Zombie is okay for this year, but that costume function should be held at 1600 Pennsylvania, in the District of Corruption.

BTW, BTW, why not verbally record, and later post, the underlying reason for the sleep-overs, other than meeting chicks, of course.

Okay; so, I did bring my videocam today, so I'll have some vid up later on (gotta do my job first, so's I can pay the taxes needed to support these lazy parasites /sarc). In the meantime, a little anecdote: yesterday I was rather furtive about using my camera, afraid that I'd catch flak if some of the zoo-denizens saw me. But that wasn't the case today! After a few laps, I just whipped out the DSLR and the videocam and shot away, brazenly, even asking a few if I could take their portraits! I'd forgotten that the whole point of this malarky is to get their pictures taken!

'Course, it probably helped that I was walking around with a backpack, two cameras and, most importantly, my old construction boots and a ratty baseball cap. That wasn't all disguise tho'; I wear the boots to work and back because (a) wearing my office shoes back and forth to work destroys them, and I can't afford to buy new shoes every six months or so, and (b) I need the big, comfortable, shock-absorbing soles or else my feet are killing me by the time I get home.

However, not all was dissimulation; I intentionally carried a little "red flag" on my person, front and center, which anyone willing to pay attention to detail would have noticed. Here's a pic of my camera kit; see if you're more attentive than your average liberal and can spot my "red flag":

At any rate, after I get home tonight, there will be more goodies posted up, including a bit of my video - with voice-over narrative, of course.

Just posted an update to the thread on Terrorist Ayers' statement to the monkey colony known as occupywallstreet here (don't want to double-post): http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2788834/posts?page=65#65

Basically, I took some pics of the daily protest "march" up Broadway (they still can't seem to find Wall Street, even when they walk right past it), and I can report that in all likelihood, there were more police officers along the "march" route than there were protestors marching.

Nope, cut ‘em off from the ‘net and they will lose the will to be there. If they can’t rant, they will get bored in a hurry.

Ok, a few more updated images from this laughable farce of a "protest":

First, here's an anti-capitalist "protestor" and his "moll" perusing the internet on an expensive notebook - an Apple for those who can't tell from the image - inside, of all places, the McDonalds on Broadway just across from the park they've planted themselves in!

The incongruities just abound: but for capitalism and all of the benefits it provides, these two yo-yos wouldn't have (1) a laptop that cost about $2,000, and that can process data at several billion operations a second, (2) a wireless connection - provided for no extra charge by McDonalds - that is robust enough and fast enough to download graphic-intensive websites in almost real time, (3) a comfortable, well-lit, clean place in which to sit for as long as they want, for the price of a cup of coffee (and not even that, since they brought in cups from other capitalist establishments as well), or (4) the extra money, after necessities are taken care of, to pay for a $2,000 plus notebook and cups of high-priced coffee in downtown Manhattan. And that's just the first few things I can think of off the top of my head.

In other words, not only are these folks hypocrites - denouncing for rank political effect the very products and services that they are so willing to take advantage of - they're also bald-faced liars because (a) they quite clearly are not toiling in service to this mythical "1%" they keep yammering on about, and (b) they aren't poor because they clearly have plenty of cash to spare for the nicer amenities in life.

Oh, and the best part? Mr. "Protestor" hurriedly tried to put a bandana across his face once he realized that I had a camera and wasn't afraid to use it. Sap.

Some more delightful little vignettes from the occupy-some-place-in-the-same-city-as-Wall-Street "occupancy":

First, my absolute favorite, because it captures in one image the sum-total of the hypocrisy and intellectual incoherency of the OccupyWallStreet gang. I call this one Anti-capitalist Capitalism. Gotta ask, people: which is it? Are you anti-capitalist or not, 'cause this guy is clearly a capitalist. Maybe he's really just a nasty, evil capitalist plant - an agent provocateur - placed there to bring disrepute on the "purity" of your anti-capitalist fervor?

Anti-capitalist Capitalism

Of course, the usual suspects showed up, too. Doesn't look like this guy's been sleeping in the park all week; probably here to inspect the ranks of the "useful idiots" who have been sleeping in the park (and enjoying the perks of McDonalds, too).

SEIU Inspects the 'useful Idiots'

Then there's the rank-and-file "useful idiots" enjoying more of the fruits of capitalism - $12 a pack cigarettes and Blackberry smartphones (the guy's using a Blackberry smartphone - hope you'll believe me, 'cause the pic showing it is a bit too blurry to post). Ahhh, $12 a pack cigs and a 3G smartphone - life can't get any sweeter for an anti-capitalist "protestor."

Anti-capitalists Enjoying the Fruits of Capitalism, I

Here's a few more, also enjoying those $12 a pack cigs. Y'know, the claims of poverty and exploitation would be a bit more believable if they were at least smoking some roll-your-own - Drum used to be my favorite - after all, it's cheaper:

Anti-capitalists Enjoying the Fruits of Capitalism, II

Finally, the pièce de résistance: two of the only real workers I could find at this merry little ship of fools, this confederacy of dunces. God Bless these gents and keep them well, they are some of the few here who actually deserve some consideration; notice, however, that not only are they working hard, they're not whinging about how hard they have it, and quite frankly, they have it substantially harder than any of the middle-class, trustafarian, college-educated "protestors" do. God Bless you gentlemen:

The Only Real 'Workers' at OccupyWallStreet, I

The Only Real 'Workers' at OccupyWallStreet, II

(just as a gentle jab at certain "sensitive" points: I would point out that these guys are also about the only immigrants I could see at this "protest" - apparently, immigrants come here to work hard and make something better for themselves - guess the U.S. isn't nearly half so bad as the rest of the world; perhaps the "protestors" would like to go find that out for themselves first-hand).

Just another thought that I wanted to point out: there are very, very, very few minorities at the OccupyWallStreet "occupancy" - this is an affair that is almost purely driven by college-educated, white, middle-class kids. There aren't even that many of the hard-core anarchists we've seen at "protests" in Europe, for example. Basically, it's a form of astroturf: a group of privileged kids playing "working class" and flirting with the ersatz Marxism they were spoonfed at college, all of it funded with liberal (pardon the pun) dollops of money from Mommie and Daddy.

Mr. & Mrs. America, do you know what your kids are getting up to at those posh liberal arts universities you so lovingly sent them to?

Ok, so I couldn't resist, here are two more pics of OccupyWallStreet "protestors" enjoying themselves in McDonalds. I hope you'll take it on trust that the first one - the magenta lady - shows a couple of protestors; the second should speak for itself. Also, in the second, notice again the rather expensive Apple notepad. For a bunch of poor, downtrodden "working-class" mugs these people are pretty loaded. I wonder if Mommy and Daddy know what their boys are doing?

More pictures from the monkeys sans zoo "occupying" Wall Street

I picked a few more choice pics of the useful idiots of the OccupyWallStreet "occupancy" for your viewing pleasure.

First, I just couldn't resist because it's such a fabulous illustration of the hypocrisy and intellectual incoherence of the occupywallstreet idiots, so here are some more pics of these rabid anti-capitalists enjoying the pleasures of that evil multinational corporation, McDonalds:

OccupyWallStreet protestors sitting in McDonalds   OccupyWallStreet protestors sitting in McDonalds

OccupyWallStreet protestors sitting in McDonalds

Then there are the "protestors" in the park itself, enjoying the fruits of capitalism: laptops and smartphones:

OccupyWallStreet protestors enjoying the fruits of capitalism   OccupyWallStreet protestors enjoying the fruits of capitalism

I particularly like that second one - the anti-capitalists are using Dells! I wonder if they leased or purchased?

Then there are two examplars of the "useful idiot" type - so useful that I just had to add some explicit editorial commentary:

OccupyWallStreet protestor exemplifying the failure of the American educational system

OccupyWallStreet useful idiot - didn't read the sign before he followed orders to hold it up

This is getting more and more fun each time I go there!
