That’s true, but we live in a different era now, where the lefties, liberals, socialists, commie pigs have now declared open war against conservatives and we have to fight back just as hard & viciously as the left. 0dumb0 is going around the country actively egging on the different ethnic groups or special interest groups or unions, to go on the attack against conservatives. Who was it that said, a lie is halfway around the world before the truth even gets started? So I think that Cain or any Repub president better be prepared to fight back and prevent the lefties from marginalizing and then destroying conservative politicians, especially a POTUS. (0dumb0 is excluded because he a commie pig usurper TOTUS, not presidential in any sense of the word).

I have never heard of any real person ever using the word Oreo to describe anything but a cookie. It appears that the word is used to insult African Americans only by Democrat operatives and their allies in the MSM and the entertainment industry.

It is used as an insult to describe African Americans who have supported themselves and their families by honest work instead of government handouts. It is also used to insult African Americans who achieve success through strength of character and individual achievement instead of through racial quotas. It is also used as an insult to African Americans who take responsibility for their own shortcomings and don't constantly complain of being victims of racism. It is also used as an insult for African Americans who are law abiding, patriotic and proud to be Americans and treat other races with politeness and consideration.

Herman Cain is called an Oreo because he achieved success through running a business and not through some government handout or phony affirmative action position.

If I were African American I would regard it as a badge of honor to called an Oreo by these useless Democrat parasites. It means they are jealous of my achievements and know they could not accomplish what I have.

I disagree. The Communist strategy has always been to attack. The POTUS will have to address the more weightier falsehoods and attacks, but the Left won’t dictate a Conservative presidents game plan. Period.

The POTUS will have far more important issues to contend with rather than waste his or her time responding to every personal attack and false accusation leveled against his administration.

This is true, although I may have heard the term used in casual discussion, but I’m not absolutely sure.

Let us stop using the term, “African American”. 99.9% of the black people I know-and this includes their family-did not immigrate from Africa. We’re all Americans. Incidentally, I am a minority as well. My grandparents immigrated here. They called themselves Americans, as do I.

Well, I guess then we disagree with each other. I simply look at the example of GW Bush who was destroyed by the media & the lefties, and never, NEVER responded. I take that back, he did criticize & diss conservatives who disagreed with him or criticized him, such as in the case of his amnesty bill.

I don't think you need to confront every piece of criticism or lies, but a conservative POTUS better have some discernment to know when to fight back and when to just ignore it. Let's not allow the left to define a conservative POTUS or POTUS candidate.

In the eyes of most brainwashed leftist blacks, advocating hard work and personal responsibility is "acting white." And actually embodying those qualities is ...beyond the pale.

Now that’s something you and I agree on. :^)

“but a conservative POTUS better have some discernment to know when to fight back and when to just ignore it.”

Which didn’t apply to Dubya with his “compassion” BS.

Yeah, all these liberal comedians, now that they’ve achieved success - Lopez, Letterman, Maher, Behar and some others - have become downright ugly and mean.

But I loved Herman’s good-natured response (when asked about Lopez’s statement) - “well, he’s right - I AM blacker (than BHO) on the outside. But on the inside, I’m red, white and blue.”

He reminds me of Reagan in his good nature and sense of humor.

“But on the inside, I’m red, white and blue.”

Splendid.

I wish I couldn’t have seen that. We do not have televised programming (thankfully) in our home.

In any case 0bambi's ancestors where Arab slavers....

The Europeans built the ports and loading docks around Africa....

and relied on the Arab slave traders to fill them

“Cain lived with this, fool.”

I heard him (on Hannity, I think) tell the story of him and his little brother sneaking a drink, when no one was looking, from the White fountain, then drinking from the Black fountain. He smiled, then chuckled and said, “we both were surprised that the water tasted exactly the same, and wondered what the big deal (of separate fountains) was about!”

I know. I don't use the term in conversation except with people who I sense are into political correctness. I never use the term among my black friends and coworkers. Whatever term you use someone will criticize you.

Who the heck is Lopez to be insulting a black man? Does he not know that there is a gap between blacks and Hispanics that is wider than that between whites and either race?

The Protestant work ethic never had much currency in the Old South, even among whites. When the blacks came north into the coastal cities, many did come to work, but since 1965 that has been smothered by the constant blame-casting that has made it hard for the community to exploit a collective wealth that is larger than that of a country like Greece. It is all “whitey, whitey, whitey,” all the day long. Thus can the black rich and well-to-do assuage their guillty refusal to lead their fellows and their decision to pursue private interests and leave leadership to Demagogues like Sharpton.

“African-American” is like “Native-American,” a term of political currency. Almost all indians call themselves indians/ the name of their particular nation.

Lopez is a feculent little race racketeer. A POS who received a kidney from his wife and then unceremoniously dumped her..
