These kind of statements worked in the 1970s....but they’ve lost some of their strength over the last two decades. Personally....I think George is doing a bit of medication and over did it.

The problem with the migration into the northern cities was that it occurred as the jobs they were filling were leaving the country; while the first wave did fairly well, their children were born into the Rustbelt. The high unemployment brought its own demons (government and chemical dependency, among others) that have plagued them (and other groups that remain in those blighted areas) ever since.

Cain lived with this, fool

I am about 6 months older than Herman Cain and if he had lived in my small Missouri town growing up, we probably would have been in the same grade in school, not in the same school of course because black kids went to a different school.

We used text books until they were ragged, then we sent them to the "colored school" to use. The next town over from us had a public swimming pool that thoise same "coloreds" weren't allowed to use with one exception. They drained and cleaned the pool and refilled it about once a month or so and on the day prior to draining, they had a "coloreds only day". How demeaning is that?

I didn't think a lot about it when I was a kid, it wasn't until I grew up and got a conscience, that it bothered me a lot.

George Lopez is a rabid pro illegal immigrant activist. I would sometimes watch his TV show until I saw part of his stand up routine which was full of pro-illegal rants.

“Almost all indians call themselves indians/ the name of their particular nation.”

Indeed. Our Indian friends agree. We live near several reservations. I don’t see any “Native-American” bumper stickers, or have ever heard an Indian say such things.

As a matter of fact I witnessed an argument at a store several months ago involving a Polish woman and an Indian. The Polish gal was talking about how soft Americans are, and in her country they had to use newspaper for toilet paper, and on..... When they Indian man started telling her to take her posterior back to her old country and leave America, the woman started that old, “This isn’t your country any. Its the Native-Americans....” line. The man responded by saying, “I am Indian. Take your (((bleep))) our of our country. I’m proud to be an American (or something like that)”.

It’s the classic white liberal rant. They take it upon themselves to condescend to us (minorities), and become our “savior” and “provider” because we’re too stupid to think for ourselves /s.

Which didn’t apply to Dubya with his “compassion” BS.

You won't get any disagreement from me on that point!

Lopez is a toad with no talent. He reminds his audience every minute that he's a "Mexican" so i suppose white audiences feel obligated to laugh at his unfunny stand-up.

But someone from one of the most racist countries in the hemisphere has no business lecturing us on about race.

“I’ve always felt that GWB was savagely & viciously attacked by the left & the media, and simply never responded back, no matter how grotesque the lie.”

Awhile back, when interviewed after his book came out, Karl Rove said one of his biggest regrets was in not insisting GW fight back against all the lies and attacks.

Far too many people mistook W’s refusal to acknowledge or dispute his attackers for weakness or shame. Sometimes, I think some righteous indignation is in order.

We’ve gotta stop playing so nice - it’s not appreciated and is used against us.
