I, and many on Free Republic, are fed-up with the kind of crap both political parties have been spreading for decades.
Cincinatus’ Wife knows my view of Gov.Perry; I find him less than honest, a man who plays politics to power (crony capitalism/pay-to-play), and is a ‘big statist’ like most Republicans and Democrats owned by special interests. Perry isn’t going to deliver the smaller, law-abiding government Americans want for their country.
If the Founders of this nation felt that decades of political experience made for good government, they would have made that an eligibility requirment for the Presidency, and it would be stated clearly in the U.S.Constitution. They did not do so. So, they must have envisioned something entirely different.
If we settle for Romney or Perry, we’re still in the same groove, “government as usual”, which alienates the majority of Americans and feeds the discontent that votes Democrats into power.
Note: I am not yet supporting any candidate. Why did you bring up Cain?
All of us are.
I don't see Perry as being part of the problem judging by the enemies he has made.
Any problems I have with Herman Cain are fairly minor ones.

... Why did you bring up Cain?Because he is the only one running that hasn't been elected to a government office. Who else meets your requirement?
