Despite their weird rules of engagement, it seems to me that the Flea Party has more in common with the Tea Party than with the Obama/Wall Street/Demopublican/Congressional complex. Unfortunately they still see big government — if only they could control it — as the solution.

Supposedly, the sound system in that park (Piedmont? Chastain?) is so bad that the chilluns couldn’t hear the speakers, so it was “democratically” decided to repeat all the words so all the maggots could hear equally.
Really an embarassingly puerile exercise. I wonder if the childishness turned Lewis off as much as the rudeness?

The Tea Party is a coalition of “leave me the Hell alone” people.
This is a gathering of “gimme dat” losers that would murder the person next to them in a heartbeat if there was a crumb for them to fight over.
Well, that is what they claim. But, think about it. People have been speaking in public for 1,000s of years in crowds like this. It didn't even look that that big of a crowd. Speakers CAN speak loud enough to be heard pretty well just by projecting their voice.
What did people do before electronic microphones? They projected their voice. It is really quite simple. Actors, Opera singers do it all the time.
That is why I think that the repeating stunt is some kind of “group bonding” technique. See comments above about Jim Jones supposedly doing this.

Great idea. We should organize this. We could call it performance art. Get a bunch of signs with communist slogans and Obama logos. Have a creepy spokesman who looks like a cult leader. Have everyone in the crowd look like they are hypnotized and chant exactly what the leader says.
Hilarious.
