(Clueless) White House Says GOP Candidates Lack Job Growth Plans

Despite Jon Huntsman's economic plan being approved by the Wall Street Journal and Herman Cain's 9-9-9 plan gaining steam, the White House is claiming none of the GOP presidential candidates have plans for job growth.

A senior White House adviser says none of the Republicans who want President Barack Obama's job has offered any substantive proposals to lower unemployment.

David Plouffe concedes in an NBC "Today"interview that Obama's poll standings have deteriorated amid high joblessness. But he also says congressional Republicans have failed to cooperate on a program to jump-start the economy. Plouffe argues "there wouldn't be a political issue" if the GOP would support Obama's $447 billion jobs program.

Referring to Tuesday night's Republican presidential debate, Plouffe says "none of the ideas we're going to see" will create jobs in the short term.

He says next year's election will present voters with a choice between Obama's policy of "creating security for the middle class" and the Republican stance for corporations and the wealthy.

All GOP candidates have supported the idea of lowing tax rates for small businesses and corporations, which would immediately jump start hiring and job growth in the economy. Just because GOP candidates don't have a worthless government plan for buying union votes job growth, doesn't mean job growth plans aren't available. Obama's latests "jobs plan" is nothing more than an expensive second stimulus package aimed at pleasing his union buddies and promoting government dependence, which is why it failed/was altered in the democrat controlled Senate and lacks a single democrat co-sponsor in the House of Representatives.

Congressional Democrats aren't cooperating.  Numerous vulnerable Democrats have balked at the plan, forcing Senate Democratic leadership to concede that they don't have the votes within their own caucus to pass the bill.  Even better, the White House's top legislative priority has exactly zero co-sponsors in the House of Representatives.  Obama can carp about Eric Cantor all he wants, but the fact of the matter is that Cantor's Democratic counterpart, Steny Hoyer, hasn't bothered to co-sponsor the bill Cantor's crew is supposedly blocking.  Cantor, incidentally, hasn't ruled out broad Republican support for certain elements of the president's plan.

Meanwhile, President Obama will deliver another speech today pushing his "jobs" plan. It will take place at 1:50 pm EST.

I believe precedent dictates that jobs plans can only be released after a 10 day vacation in Maaaaatha’s Vineyard. Have any of the GOP candidates met the vacation requirement?

Cutting taxes and regulation will create jobs.

“Mr. Plouffe, the President’s plans have all been essentially the same. Yet none have managed to get unemployment below 9-9.5%. What modifications need to be made to the President’s approach to address unemployment”?

Dems are between a rock and a hard place on economic issues. Ideally, they’d like to stay silent, but heading into an election year they have to say something, and anything they mention is going to start people thinking of how bad the economy is, and how Obama has no answers aside from higher taxes.

If Zero has the answers, why the hell do they need Republican help? If they had the answers, they would still be in the majority and Zero would be the hands-down favorite. The math doesn’t lie; either put up the numbers, or admit you have been self-neutered.

They lie. If a liberal is breathing, he is either in the process of lying or getting ready to lie.

Cain - 9-9-9, Romney - 150 page outline of proposals, Huntsman as cited, Gingrich his newest "Contract" proposal. Not certain about the others in the race--except for Perry who is supposed to release his proposals on Friday, but--as he has said ad nauseum--all you really need to do is look at what was done in Texas to know what he will propose.

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn’t getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?

He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.

Now.. Let this really sink in -

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens

He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates

He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired

He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife’s frivolous gallivanting around the world

He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff

He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients

He did not threaten the food stamp programs

He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid

He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters

The list could go on and on. He is in full political re-election mode!

Why are we allowing this person to destroy this wonderful country with his selfishness and his lies?

His type of change is killing our country. He needs to be stopped and only our votes can stop him.

Do not forget about his tactics when it’s election time. Vote Obama out of the Presidency in 2012.

Cutting taxes and regulation will create jobs.

As well as a path forward.

If the government started eliminating positions in regulatory agencies they would probably indirectly create 100 or more jobs for each bureaucrat set free to go pioneering.

That's is a four lane highway forward.
