Obama Crushes Perry In New Poll
The Business Insider ^ | 10/12/11 | Zeke Miller

Posted on 10/12/2011 3:35:02 PM PDT by perfect_rovian_storm

A new Rasmussen poll is pouring salt on Texas Gov. Rick Perry's wounds.

The struggling one-time front-runner is now trailing President Barack Obama in a head-to-head matchup 49 percent to 35 percent. Obama was leading Perry six or fewer points in two recent Rasmussen polls — and Perry narrowly polled ahead of Obama in early September.

Perry would fare worse than businessman Herman Cain, who in a poll last week trailed Obama 42 percent to 39 percent. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney polls even with Obama — the best of the Republican presidential candidates.

Maine is indeed a lovely state, but that shouldn’t give you yankees any bragging rights on intelligence. I see as much bad grammar and spelling from the northeast as I do anywhere else, and I keep remembering that the northeast gave us such lovelies as Olympia Dukakis and John Kerry.

Maybe you should reread the newer member’s post again. I can’t think of members here who would prefer Romney over Governor Perry or the Marxist’s reelction over Governor Perry.

Lol. I’m pretty sure EAST is on one SIDE of the compass, and WEST is on the other SIDE. But you can belabor your obnoxious error if you like.

I would prefer any GOP candidate over Obama.

Any candidate other than the surrender monkey. He is the only person who hates America more than Obama, but he is not a Republican, and has no chance of winning.
Now if cut and run really wanted to run in the general he should run as a democrat. His policies are much closer to theirs. Both blame America for every problem in the world, both are pro-abortion, both want to destroy our military, and want preferential treatment for gays, both hate Israel. He agrees with Obama on almost everything except cut and run thinks it was a bad idea to get rid of OBL.

“But I also don’t want the Repoublicans to take my vote for granted. I’m sure you feel the same.”

I do and have proven that I will only compromise so much when I did not vote for John McCain in 2008. I despise John McCain with a passion. There is no one running that I dislike on such a personal level.

Grunthor, I’m with you, although I’m waffling a bit on Cain. On the practical side, there’s no choice but to look at who already HAS money and a national organization and who doesn’t. I’d like to know just how much $$ Cain is bringing in. If it were in the millions, I think we’d hear about it. Obama must lose, bottom line. I can’t stand Romney, but I’d vote for him if he were our only choice. (I won’t put a Romney for Prez sign on my front lawn, however.)

If Perry is the nominee I can assure you that he has my vote. However, unless the polls show he has a good chance of beating the Kenyan Marxist I will not vote for him in the primary unless he gets his sh%t together. He has failed miserably in the debates....MISERABLY. I DO NOT WANT 4 more years of that bastard that’s usurping the WH. We won’t have a country left. I want Obamacare GONE, forever and whoever it takes to accomplish that has my vote.

I saw this last night. Now picture Perry in a debate with the community organizer that is skilled at only one thing, running his mouth and repeating talking points. Seriously, do you think Perry will beat the team of Marxists we are up against if he behaves like this? If he can’t answer this, how will he answer tough questions in a presidential debate. No thanks. I have just about seen enough of Perry.

Understood! I just wish I knew why more conservatives didn’t run this time.

It’s also very strange for me - the positions the media outlets deem “fringe” or “extreme” now are just a call for an America more like the one I grew up in. And I’m not all that old.

Let me ask you a question. If you, the media, many on the right, and Perry opponents believe that his campaign is dead and he is finished why are you still obsessed about him 24/7? You even posted this article in the breaking news section.

I used to know John McCain. I agree, I did not like him either. Over the years I took a lot of heat from FReepers for my insight. I did though vote for him (in the last election, none in AZ). I voted for him only because he was better than the alternative in the general election.
Cut and run is a different story. While I know he has no chance of winning the nomination, he would be worse for America than anybody the dimwits could put up.
