[vanity] I refuse to have Romney forced down my throat.

Does anybody else notice the HUGE push among the media elites (Rove, Krauthammer, et al) for Romney, now that Cain is showing powerful gains? I have to say, the more they say Romney's a foregone conclusion, the deeper my heels dig in against him. Not because he's a Mormon, but because he WANTS it too much - has been running since the last election, and I WON'T have "them" dictate who our nominee will be.

Colonel, USAFR

Ken, of course we vote in 2012. We erred, well we didn’t, but the nation erred and begs to correct it. Romney is only a socialist he is not a Marxist. Our candidates have flaws as do you. and me. ( Mine of course are not near as great as yours and everyone elses. LOL) Seriously we neglect our duty to not extract Obama from the government by whatever means God gives us.

I did the same as you, plus a mccain, but at least that was for Palin. I won’t vote for Romney.

I’m thinking for the first time that if Romney gets the nomination, I will consider a third party. I think that Romney is that bad.

There is only one degree of difference between Romney and Obama and that is that Romney claims to believe in American exceptionalism, but I don’t really believe him. If Romney truly believed in America and the constitution, he could not be planning Obamneycare and supporting AGW with the concomitant over zealous regulation and carbon taxes.

And in between Pawlenty, Daniels and Romney, they tried to push Christie.

We want a TEA Party conservative, not an establishment RINO!

McCain was the best lesson that the MSM could ever have given us.
We have learned their tricks. We can now identify their propaganda.
We are no longer USEFUL IDIOTS.
They are petrified of the tea party. Cain IS the poster buy for the tea party.
Don’t get discouraged.
Don’t let your guard down.
We have to first fight the Republican establishment. Then the liberal Marxist.
I am not retreating.
I’ll just keep in reloading.

Make sure you vote in the primaries

It'll be all over but the crying by the time my state's primary comes around. But I can make my voice heard via my wallet. It will come in small amounts, but I have already donated to the Cain campaign and will do so as often as possible.

If everyone takes that attitude we'll squeeze out a fine nominee.

Mr. Cain has his (warts) as well.

That may be true, but I have news for you. He might not have put out a press release, but I have it on good authority that Jesus isn't running either.

He’s also anti-gun. I haven’t voted 3rd party in the general, but I might this time. I never NOT vote.

I think it’s the fault of conservatives not getting out and voting.

Well we could all join the Democratic Party if that would suit you better. That way we would at least know before we voted that we were voting for a progressive.

The Party Establishment anoint their candidate and manipulate the primaries to assure that their choice has the very best chance,

Reagan was the exception, as would Palin have been. For what ever reason she chose not to run, leaving us without a real game changer.

Keep throwing those Party Chosen Progressive at us and reap what you sew.

If you sit it out you are voting for Obama.

Yada, yada, yada. That dog don't hunt no more.

Put the blame where it belongs.

“If the republic is to die, let it be a quick death.”

I can’t think of any way that’s a plus for my kids.

It is not just because Romney wants it so much but because the elites know that Romney is a pliable moderate. Whereas Cain, Palin, and Bachmann would be more likely to act on principle.

A quick jump all the way into the pit of collectivism will be stark and maybe some patriots will fight. The slow death kills the memory of freedom.

“If you sit it out you are voting for Obama”

Oh goodie. I can’t wait to get my romney bumper sticker “vote for romney because he sucks less than obama” or “I just took my anti-nausea medicine and now I’m ready to vote for romney”
The romney grass roots effort will be as effective as the Italian army in WWII.

Well who is really to blame? If a true conservative doesn't get the nomination that means there aren't enough true conservatives in the country.

And I still say ...Anybody but Obama. I'm not going to sit home to prove a pointless point and end up with 4 more years of Obama
