I’m not going to argue with you. I respect you. Very much.

I am very sad at the turn of events and I’m sorry, I’m looking for someone to blame and I don’t want to blame Perry so I say his advisers have done him wrong.

I believe that.

Drill baby, drill isn't something new

He's from an big energy state in the gulf. If anyone can get it done, it's Perry. I'm sure the unemployed in the gulf states will be on board with this plan. He's advocating everything conservatives on FR are always talking about. What's the problem? I wouldn't be surprised if he picks up a Palin endorsement running on this platform.

Obama has executive orders in place that are blocking our energy economy.

Against the will of the American people.

What Perry’s orders would do is undo the current executive orders put in place by Obama.

Otherwise, the Obama orders stand and we will continue suffering under them.

Surely, that isn’t what you want to happen.

What about this plan couldn’t have been ready when Perry announced?

He wanted to unveil it in Pittsburgh on the heels of obama's failed visit there.

For one thing, he is a sitting Gov. For another, it is still early in the campaign. And for yet a another, he has only been in the race 8 weeks compared to the other candidates who have been in months. You guys exhaust me. :)

This whole campaign has exhausted me. I was filled with optimism a couple months ago. Now I’m feeling gloomy.

I should probably just go into lurk mode and not post anymore.

I apologize to everyone for my pessimism. But that’s how I feel.

Note, in addition to unveiling it in Pittsburg, the plan specifically emphazises Pennsylvania’s energy economy and future...

Note, Rick Perry is one of the best retail politicians ever. If I were Perry, given that, I would roll it out seperately from the debate.

Whether before or after the debate, I would choose after, so as to change the subject from my subpar debate ability to my governing ability, ie, the plan.

I will be very disappointed in Sarah Palin endorses Perry.

I hope she remembers that Perry backers treated her very poorly in the past.

But Perry is an astute political hack so he knows how to wrangle blood out of a turnip.

Rick Perry’s Air War (with the EPA)...........>>>Texas alone opted for the unfriendly approach. It’s the only state that did not issue a plan for compliance—and Perry has made it clear that Texas has no intention of complying. The move was a blatant slap to the Obama administration—and once again gave Perry the national spotlight. Defying the climate rules offered him the perfect opportunity to loudly decry the science of global warming—which in his book Fed Up! he calls a “contrived phony mess that is falling apart under its own weight”—and to slam EPA as a “rogue agency” with an “activist mind-set” that has “targeted Texas.” Such rhetoric is viral catnip to the tea party voters who could help catapult Perry to the 2012 presidential nomination.<<<..............

Sept 12, 2011From Treehugger - A Discovery Company “………..For a flavor of what's to come we have only to look to Texas Governor Rick Perry, who seems to channel the vibe pretty well and gets only the rare local challenge….. Instead of dealing with the realities of climate change--regardless of whether you or they think it is caused by human activities--Texas politicians will keep playing the lynch mob role toward EPA, at least until the next Presidential election is over. It works as a political strategy - for now…..”

Metro - Carolyn and Ron Agnew, center, of Pflugerville, wait for Governor Rick Perry's arrival during the Rick Perry Welcome Home Rally at Abel's on the Lake in Austin on Saturday, August 20, 2011. LISA KRANTZ/lkrantz@express-news.net

In Texas Schools, Perry Shuns Federal Influence ………>>>When Secretary of Education Arne Duncan jabbed Mr. Perry on public schools in mid-August, it was only the latest skirmish between the governor and the Obama administration since late 2009, when Mr. Perry announced that the state would not sign on to common core-curriculum standards.<<<...

The Left is signaling that they hope a President Perry will fix education and get the inner cities out from under the impossible mess they've created.

Trial lawyers prep for war on Perry America’s trial lawyers are getting ready to make the case against one of their biggest targets in years: Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Among litigators, there is no presidential candidate who inspires the same level of hatred – and fear – as Perry, an avowed opponent of the plaintiffs’ bar who has presided over several rounds of tort reform as governor.

And if Perry ends up as the Republican nominee for president, deep-pocketed trial lawyers intend to play a central role in the campaign to defeat him.

That’s a potential financial boon to a president who has unsettled trial lawyers with his own rhetorical gestures in the direction of tort reform. A general election pitting Barack Obama and Perry could turn otherwise apathetic trial lawyers into a phalanx of pro-Obama bundlers and super PAC donors. …..”

She endorse him last time he ran. I figure she might return the favor based on his energy agenda.

Economic plan comes out 3 days after the economic debate?

Too little too late.

Everyone of the candidates would drill, baby drill.

Maybe the dog ate his homework, because his dog won’t hunt.

"American Jobs" for who... Americans?

What about the thousands of illegal alien college students in Texas, receiving in-state tuition, that will need a job after graduating?

Are "heartless" Americans going to send them back to Mexico, or accept President Perry's re-hash of Shamnesty?

Don't do that! It is still early, the MSM would love for the conservatives to get gloomy and discouraged by the time election rolls around. Why do think there has already been 7 debates with still 17 more to go before the Primary? I could be wrong but I believe this is unprecedented. They want all of America to be sick of it.

Ditto!

You hit the nail on the head for me.

I have been trying to figure out what really bothers me about Perry. And it’s his persona as a little dictator when he swaggers on stage.
