Deborah Bradley Describes the Night Baby Lisa Went Missing

On the night her 10-month-old daughter disappeared, Lisa Irwin's mother drank enough wine at home while relaxing with a neighbor that she has no recollection of whether or not she checked on her daughter or turned off the house lights before she went to bed.

Did the alcohol cause her to black out? "It's a possibility," Deborah Bradley tells PEOPLE.

On Sunday, 25 members of the Missouri National Guard scoured areas searched previously by police and FBI agents for clues regarding the whereabouts of Baby Lisa, whom her mother says was snatched from her crib in the hours prior to 4 a.m. Oct. 4.

That's when Lisa's father, Bradley's fiancé Jeremy Irwin, returned home from a late work shift to find a front window open, the front door unlocked, several inside lights on and their daughter missing.

Probably accidentally killed the baby (dropped, crushed) and got rid of the body in a panic. Too scared to come clean now.

She was videotaped out buying baby wipes and likker with a boy toy

Who snatches a child and leaves all the lights blazing and the door open?

An animal

Maybe Mom’s boy toy was a blind drunk pedophile carrying that baby away for sex, like a dingo with a piece of meat in its jaws.

okay this I don’t like. But some creep could have been watching. Still, as a mom, I don’t recall ever putting my child in their crib and having adult time unless the baby was really asleep. “Standing in her crib” what silent? Or screaming? My kids didn’t just hang around in their cribs.

I am afraid I am considering this possibility as well. She could have done this herself in a blackout and not remembered at all. Or she wasn’t in a complete blackout and did something seriously tragic while impaired.

My theory is the father is involved. I remember reading that he was “ruthless” in his custody battle. And it was reported Deborah’s brother took her shopping because she doesn’t have a license. DWI perhaps? What 25 year old doesn’t have a license? That and the admission she was “drunk” that evening makes me think she has a problem with alcohol. Perhaps boyfriend was fed up with her drinking and wanted to either “teach her a lesson” or “show her as unfit for custody”. He has said very little, which I find strange. And the first time ever he works at night? Did he volunteer or was he told to work that night? And there is a report out there that there was a text message to one of the cell phones which said “ready when you are” at 2:30 am and the report of the dumpster fire at 2:27 am near their home. Never heard any more about the text. Did boyfriend set up for someone to take baby Lisa? And I find it strange that the cops didn’t ask him to take a polygraph but asked Deborah to. I don’t think the mother did it. I’m looking at the dad.

I am assuming you haven’t followed this story very closely. She was shopping with her brother - bought wine.

So do you think the baby is alive?

This case has a very muddled time-line, unclear parentage of the two older boys and extended family.

One thing that has been established - the young man shopping with the mother is her nephew. Perhaps he wanted her to purchase some alcohol (because he’s under age) a reason she may have been less than cooperative with LE.

IMHO this is a naive, careless woman whom someone close to her, decided “to teach a lesson” and it has since gotten out of hand.

correction: young man is her BROTHER not nephew.

The father made a strange comment when asked ‘who would steal the baby’ and his response was: “someone who cheated on her husband”.

Very strange.

Yes. They say abductions of infants (especially from the home) are very rare and even more rare for them to be murdered. I pray she is found soon. Maybe they need to waterboard the parents.

The guy she was buying liquor with is her brother.

I agree that if the child was abducted, she’s probably alive. I’m just doubting the child was abducted at all. But I don’t know much about the case, I just tend to suspect that when one person was “the last to see the child” and a different person reports the child missing, that one of them is responsible. Or both.

Where was the baby when she was buying wine? In the car? At home?

Is there any report on Jeremy’s ex-wife who lost custody of their son?

Could she be capable of such vengeance?

Good question, I was wondering the same thing. I came up with the theory that the baby was left in the car and perhaps died as a result and the mother/brother panicked.

Of course, there is nothing to substatiate this, but the circumstances of the baby’s disappearance make no sense.
