Students in a Texas public high school were made to stand up and recite the Mexican national anthem and Mexican pledge of allegiance as part of a Spanish class assignment, but the school district maintains there was nothing wrong with the lesson.
It happened last month in an intermediate Spanish class at Achieve Early College High School in McAllen, Texas a city located about 10 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border.
Wearing red, white and green, students had to memorize the Mexican anthem and pledge and stand up and recite them in individually in front of the class.

Perry was so proud that he had tears in his eyes. I bet he would approve this big time.
teacher must stop or “go”
Ask the teacher one question.....”What was the reason for this?” And demand an answer. The kids could have memorized anything.
If it is for Spanish class, make them recite the Spanish national anthem. There should be problem with that; it has no words.
I’m sure that Gov. Perry approves.
Perrys kids.
Now that’s what I call heart, right Mr. Perry?
Could they have sung La Cucaracha instead??
I could see having them learn OUR pledge in spanish but learning and being forced to recite another country’s pledge?
She needs to be shipped back to the country she loves so much.
“Im sure that Gov. Perry approves”

Senior Perry chupa!
Wonder what Perry’s poll numbers are now? This should finish him off.
If Perry doesn’t approve he better speak out pronto. He has a bad image on cozying up to CAIR and LaRazza. This could be his Sistah Soldjah moment, if he comes out fast to condemn it.
Texans (and Californians) view Mexico, border security and illegal immigrants differently than most Americans.
Illegals have already destroyed California and they are about 10-15 years away from doing the same thing to Texas and Texans are too arrogant (stupid) to realize it.
When I was in HS, I would have just sat there with my arms folded singing the Star Spangled Banner. My parents also would have defended my actions. But then again, we once were a proud country.
lol. I think we did in Spanish class. We had to memorize and recite the “Our Father” in Spanish. (I did go to Catholic School so that was allowed). I seriously believe that Perry stood proud when he heard this. His passion for the Mexican illegals is very believable. I sometimes think he wishes he was Mexican. He loves that group of people especially if they are illegal.
He won’t.
Hell, he’ll probably join in.
If they were asked to memorize and recite the USA pledge she would have been fired.
I bet Houston, Travis, Bowie and many others were rolling over in their graves over this outrage. There is NO REASON for anyone to be reciting a pledge to another country, period, end of story. If you like it so much there, go there.
