Perry was so proud that he had tears in his eyes. I bet he would approve this big time.
teacher must stop or “go”
Ask the teacher one question.....”What was the reason for this?” And demand an answer. The kids could have memorized anything.
If it is for Spanish class, make them recite the Spanish national anthem. There should be problem with that; it has no words.
I’m sure that Gov. Perry approves.
Now that’s what I call heart, right Mr. Perry?
I could see having them learn OUR pledge in spanish but learning and being forced to recite another country’s pledge?
She needs to be shipped back to the country she loves so much.
Wonder what Perry’s poll numbers are now? This should finish him off.
Texans (and Californians) view Mexico, border security and illegal immigrants differently than most Americans.
Illegals have already destroyed California and they are about 10-15 years away from doing the same thing to Texas and Texans are too arrogant (stupid) to realize it.
When I was in HS, I would have just sat there with my arms folded singing the Star Spangled Banner. My parents also would have defended my actions. But then again, we once were a proud country.

Prosecute them for sedition.
I live about 30 miles north of McAllen and hadn’t heard about this on the local news. In any case, this is a crock of sh!t. There is no need to learn the Mexican pledge of allegiance. If my child attended that school or class, I would have let them have it.

Mexicans, at the cry of war,It is interesting that at the time this anthem was adopted, Mexico wasn't living up to its rather bellicose lyrics--Mexican legislators were lining their pockets by selling off chunks of Mexico's national territory. They had just sold to the US a parcel of land known as the Gadsden Purchase, forcing the residents of Tuscon and Mesilla to either leave or live under US rule, and they also tried to sell us Lower California.
make ready the steel and the bridle,
and may the Earth shake at its core
at the resounding roar of the cannon...War, war without quarter to any who dare
to tarnish the coats of arms of the country!
War, war! Let the national banners
be soaked in waves of blood.
