A.D. 2041—End of White America?
Taki's Magazine ^ | October 17, 2011 | Patrick J. Buchanan

Posted on 10/18/2011 10:58:48 PM PDT by Shalmaneser

John Hope Franklin, the famed black historian at Duke University, once told the incoming freshmen, “The new America in the 21st century will be primarily non-white, a place George Washington would not recognize.”

In his June 1998 commencement address at Portland State, President Clinton affirmed it: “In a little more than 50 years, there will be no majority race in the United States.” The graduates cheered.

The Census Bureau has now fixed at 2041 the year when whites become a minority in a country where the Founding Fathers had restricted citizenship to “free white persons” of “good moral character.”

With publication today of Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025? this writer takes up what this portends. And while many on the left are enthusiastic about relegating the America of Eisenhower and JFK to a reactionary past, I concur with the late Clare Boothe Luce.

In this world, she said, there are optimists and pessimists.

“The pessimists are better informed.” “Why would they not vote for the Party of Government?”

What are the seemingly inevitable consequences of an America where whites are a shrinking minority?

First, the end of a national Republican Party that routinely gets 90 percent of its presidential votes from white America.

California is the harbinger of what is to come.

Carried by Richard Nixon in all five presidential elections when he was on the ticket and by Ronald Reagan all four times he ran, California, where whites are now a shrinking minority, is a state where the GOP faces extinction. John McCain’s share of the California vote was down to the Barry Goldwater level of 1964.

When Texas, where two-thirds of the newborns and half the schoolchildren are Hispanic, goes the way of California, it is the end for the GOP. Arizona, Colorado and Nevada, also critical to any victorious GOP coalition, are Hispanicizing as rapidly as Texas.

In every presidential election since Bush I in 1992, Hispanics have given 60-70 percent of their votes to the Democratic ticket.

For Hispanics, largely poor and working class, are beneficiaries of a cornucopia of government goods—from free education to food stamps to free health care. Few pay federal income taxes.

Why would they not vote for the Party of Government?

Second, the economic crisis of California, brought on by an outflow of taxpayers and a huge influx of tax consumers—i.e., millions of immigrants, legal and illegal—will be mirrored nationally.

For though the majority of immigrants and illegals comes to work, and work hard, most now come from Third World countries and do not bring the academic or professional skills of European-Americans.

Third, the decline in academic test scores here at home and in international competition is likely to continue, as more and more of the children taking those tests will be African-American and Hispanic. For though we have spent trillions over four decades, we have failed to close the racial gap in education. White and Asian children continue to outscore black and Hispanic children.

Can the test-score gap be closed? With the Hispanic illegitimacy rate at 51 percent and the black rate having risen to 71 percent, how can their children conceivably arrive at school ready to compete?

Should this continue for three decades, what will it mean for America if Asians and whites occupy the knowledge-industry jobs, while scores of millions of black and Hispanic workers are relegated to low-paying service-sector jobs? Will that make for social tranquility?

Affirmative action is one answer. But this is already causing a severe backlash, and the reason is obvious.

When affirmative action was first imposed, whites outnumbered blacks nine to one. The burden of reverse discrimination on the white community was thus relatively light. Today, however, not only blacks, but Hispanics and women—two-thirds of the entire population—qualify for affirmative action in hiring and school admissions.

And the burden falls almost entirely on white males, who are one-third of the country but three-fourths of the dead and wounded coming back from Afghanistan.

Sociologist Robert Putnam, author of “Bowling Alone,” has also found that the greater the racial and ethnic diversity in a community, the less social capital there is—i.e., people in diverse settings are far less disposed to cooperate for social goals. They retreat into enclaves of their own kind.

Putnam found social capital at the lowest level he ever measured in Los Angeles, the most diverse community on earth. Yet, by 2042, the demography of every American city will approximate that of L.A.

What is happening to America is happening across the West.

Can Western civilization survive the passing of the European peoples whose ancestors created it and their replacement by Third World immigrants? Probably not, for the new arrivals seem uninterested in preserving the old culture they have found.

Those who hold the white race responsible for the mortal sins of mankind—slavery, racism, imperialism, genocide—may welcome its departure from history. Those who believe that the civilization that came out of Jerusalem, Athens, Rome and London to be the crowning achievement of mankind will mourn its passing.

“Whites will be a minority world wide. Pat Buchanan has a book on this very topic. The sad fact is ...it is the white race that has made America the greatest nation on earth and I don’t care who calls me a racist. Facts are facts.”

Whites have always been a minority world wide. Soon they’ll be a minority in their own countries including Europe.

Squander what you can. If what you create grows it will blossom for others. If it is squandered it will be squandered by others. Might as well waste it on yourself while you can.

Go ahead, get the Little Debbie brand Nutty Bars rather than the almost as good Walmart knockoffs. That's 31¢ of God's creation YOU get to enjoy.

Many saw this coming in 1965 when the Democrats jammed through the Immigration Reform Act. This was the worst piece of legislation in the history of the country and that includes Prohibition. In fact the 1965 Immigration Reform Act is the worst thing that has ever happened to the United States and that includes the Civil War. Most people aren't even familiar with this hideous piece of legislation. As usual thank the Democrats.

In 1965 America was 89% white and 9% black. This was the basic breakdown. Asians, American Indians and Hispanics were maybe 2-3%.
Since that 1965 Immigration Act our legal immigrants have been 90% non-white and 10% European
Illegal immigration has been 95% from the third world with Mexicans and Central Americans being the biggest invaders
So this Immigration Act has really changed the ethnic makeup of America and I resent it, it was much better the way it was when I was growing up. I have always had non-white friends but this is how I feel about this immigration invasion from the 3rd world. Washington DC considers it a huge joke. They just want cheap Hispanic housekeepers and lawn services

All immigrants that get here start making babies faster than the native white population who are the only people on the planet idiot enough to promote abortion and birth control. OK include the ChiComs

Well I do take some small comfort in knowing that with the demise of whites as a majority, will be the demise of the civilisation that whites have historically produced-our science, arts, systems of government and society, sense of adventure and thirst for knowledge, and willingness, even eagerness, of white males to take high risks, even to their lives, in the quest for discovery and exploration. All of that will go with us. The world will be a chaos, such as happened in Haiti, or it will be under the thumb of Chinese totalinariasm or Islam. A South American system would be nothing to write home about either.

To paraphrase Nixon-they won’t have whites to kick around (or to haul the cart while they ride) anymore. But I’ll be glad to not be here to live under it, myself. I hope the last remnant of whites are all liberals so they can reap what they have sown.

I did say it was small comfort.

I don’t see why you or I nor I nor anyone need feel ashamed for resenting beimg forced against our will to be party to our own demise. It’s not as if other “indigenous” and minority groups aren’t protected from just this kind of replacement in their countries-the UN has a resolution concerning it, so they recognise it as a danger to other groups-as usual, it’s only “wicked” when whites would like to ensure their own survival. All these measures we’ve seen taken to protect other groups will be thoroughly ignored once it’s clear that whites are the endangered minority. Other groups won’t be so self-sacrificial-—or should I say suicidal.

If whites are so smart then how come we have tolerated this 3rd world legal immigrant invasion since the 1965 Immigration Act plus the illegal immigrant invasion? Part of the answer is we wanted cheap labor which means we are to lazy to do things ourselves. Currently we are in love with cheap stuff from China. Why? Because we are too lazy to do it ourselves.

The Europeans also allow themselves to be invaded. China and India would never allow this to happen to their nations. Nor would Iran or Japan or Korea. In 1965 we should have passed an immigration act that was not anti-European. A fairer one.

Back in 1988 in Esquire magazine a Japanese executive called America an “entertainment nation” and it’s only gotten worse, much worse. We only have ourselves to blame for getting soft, indulged, lazy and stupid which is why we allowed this huge anti-white demographic shift to take place here. Take “free trade”. More dumb thinking where we let millions of jobs leave America because we are anti-tariffs (what an oh so superior economic belief!)

There is always someone who sees weakness, waiting to steal your lunch.

Because the sense of decency and fairness which led to things like the Civil Rights Voting Act, a necessary correction of discrimination and inequality, supported by all decent and fair people, was co-opted by “liberals” for their own purposes-some to stir up racial as well as class warfare merely to get votes, and for the “true believers” it was turned on its head and used to browbeat others into complicity. I don’t think people who wanted to do the right thing when it was a clear-cut decision were wrong, it’s only those who have continued to use race and white guilt to advance their agenda who bear blame, but they have got just what they wanted-they think. I don’t think they realise what they’re in for. They never do, until they’re up against the wall with the rest womdering what happened.

(1) Buchanan is smart enough to know that the Naturalization Act of 1790 was passed by the First Congress. That was actually only the first example of Congress restricting American citizenship to “free white persons.”

(2) Blacks didn’t gain American citizenship until the 14th Amendment in Reconstruction. The Founders didn’t consider blacks to be citizens. That is why it took a constitutional amendment to make that a reality.

(3) Indians gained citizenship in 1924. The Chinese Exclusion Act wasn’t repealed until the Second World War. The citizenship status of Asians and non-Whites was litigated in the Supreme Court down the mid-twentieth century.

(4) Congress banned immigration from Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa in the 1910s and 1920s.

(5) Congress passed the Immigration Act of 1924 specifically to ensure that immigration flows came from traditional sources in Northwestern Europe.

(6) It wasn’t until the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952 and the Immigration Act of 1965 that the floodgates were thrown open to the entire world. Even then, as late as the 1960s, the advocates for the Immigration Act of 1965 felt compelled to promise (more like lie) that it wouldn’t change the ethnic balance of the country.

I don’t disagree with that at all. For a long time America has been coasting and resting on our laurels, all the while dumbing down the populace through “equality” (of outcome rather than opprtunity, which neccessarily must mean to the lowest common denominator) and the degredation of entertainment and the values, or lack of, disseminated to the people through it. But none of that negates our history and all the magnificent achievements we made, though we have hamstrung our own selves now in the name of “equality”, nor the fact that when we go, it all goes with us, as even recent history shows.

lol.... That Civil Rights Voting Act was passed in 1965 back when we were super prosperous, had big families, big automobiles, were the envy of the world. We could afford to do affirmative action. The 1965 Immigration Act has been affirmative action immigration for the 3rd world. We could afford such super duper morality games 10-20-30 years ago but now we can't due to a totally screwed economy. And we still don't have a fence on the Mexican border

Adapt or die.

If the Republican party cannot convince people that it stands for their fundamental freedoms, then it will die, and be replaced.

I agree completely, and if Mittens gets the nomination, I think this will happen sooner, rather than later. The moderates in the GOP are treading on very thin ice by trying to push Romney on us. They should have learned in 2008, but they didn't. With the Tea Party, they won't be able to do this again in 2016 if they do it in 2012.

And honestly, I welcome it. I'm just as conservative at I've ever been, but the GOP sure as Hell has shifted to the left, and I'm tired of it. The GOP needs to be put in its place.

Never heard of that one before. Wikipedia has a good entry on that --   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_Act_of_1924  -- That explains how immigration was tilted to North European countries.

You said we only have ourselves to blame, and I used the Civil Rights Voting Act as one example of when we did the right thing and ot made sense to do so, as opposed to things like the Immigration Act which any fool could see was merely going to lead to an unneccessary problem, to understate it. I don’t believe the most eggregious and harmful legislationhas been supported by most Americans, so I wouldn’t say that we were, in the most part, suicidal. But the type of “liberalism” to which the silent majority was subjected most definitely has had an agenda of destroying this county as we know it, amd they really think they’ll be around to pick up the reims pf power once we’re a minority. Aren’t they in for a big surprise.

All in all I think we agree, I’m just not making my point very well because I’ve been awake for over 24 hrs :)

“The reason why there are fewer white people is because white people have chosen to kill their children.

Any group that chooses to kill their children, is going to be swept away and replaced. Any nation that chooses homosexualty, will also be destroyed and replaced.”

Bingo.

Anyone who believes this won’t occur until 2041 is in denial about what has happened to the “white” birthrate; this will happen MUCH sooner. A visit to any playground or maternity ward will show just how fast this is occurring. They told us Hispanics wouldn’t pass blacks until 2010, and they did it by 2000; the same dynamic is at work here: understate the problem to lull people into complacency. I live in a town that is officially much “whiter” than anyone with eyes can see it actually is; our Peruvian Day Parade dwarfs our St. Patrick’s Day Parade, for which we’d been widely known until 20 years ago.

How many young whites are even contemplating having children?
