I agree we cannot afford another apprentice, and that is one of many reason I will be voting for Newt. I don’t see him as a savior, but as the best option to get our country back on track.

When this campaign started a few months ago, I was deeply opposed to Newt, mainly because of his time on the Pelosi couch.

Through the debates my respect for him as grown tremendously, to the point where I’m ready to support him, ready to send him money.

But first, he’s GOT to repudiate his time on the Pelosi couch.

Otherwise, I’m going to have to go with Cain, despite my doubts about him.

"I don’t have a problem voting for him, but how does he overcome his baggage?"

Newt has far less baggage than most pols today... best way to over come it is get over it!

Oh for Pete’s sake, get over the global warming thing guys. Newt is ready to lead this nation, out of the darkness, starting day one. He will forget more than the rest of them will ever know.

Some FReepers have short memories.

Nancy Pelosi-Climate Change
Hillary Clinton-Hillarycare
Scozzafava
NAFTA
WTO
Council on Foreign Relations
Most Favored Nation Status for China

As Gingrich, who backed the decision of local Republican leaders to nominate Scozzafava, explained:

“I think we are going to get into a very difficult environment around the country if suddenly conservative leaders decide they are going to anoint people without regard to local primaries and local choices.”

Newt “World Order” Gingrich supported GATT, NAFTA and WTO while in Congress.

I would be interested in you te4lling us what you perceive Newt’s baggage to be. I will concede the couching for the global warming scam was a mistake. But what other baggage do you perceive Newt has to overcome? ... And yes, I’m serious and will respect your post.

Wow.

I have never been a Newt fan, but this commercial is a winner. If only Newt could generate the momentum necessary to win the nomination...he would destroy Obama.

Newt is the brightest, most knowledgeable and most able of all the current crop of Republican candidates. I am trying to come to terms with his considerable “baggage.” If Bachman, Santorum, Huntsman and Perry drop out that would allow more focus on Newt’s ability, thus giving him a chance. Toe to toe Newt would eat Romney and Cain alive.

I've never disliked Newt, and certainly wouldn't condemn a man to never again (born again Christians are SOOO aware of God's Grace .. )

So I'd like to know why people are so hell bent to keep Gingrich from serving again, especially as presidentr.

IMO, he's the brightest and calmest voice I've seen/heard.

I’m glad Newt is getting some ads out. It does seem to drag a little, he could use some ad people like Perry has.

Go Newt!

Here’s just one of the reasons Gingrich turns my stomach: He’s a slimy hypocrite who makes John Edwards look like “Husband of the Millennium.”

Gingrich served divorce papers to his wife #1, the former Jackie Battley, while she was literally hooked to an IV getting chemotherapy at a cancer hospital.

Studmuffin Gingrich had found a mistress, Marianne Ginther, who became wife #2. If that wasn’t bad enough, while Jackie was away battling cancer, he brought Marianne to the home he shared with Jackie and their two daughters and had frequent sexual relations with her in their marital bed.

To add insult to injury, Gingrich savagely fought Jackie, to punish her for not signing the divorce papers while she was hooked up to the chemo IV. Jackie had to take him to court to get him to contribute toward bills because utilities were about to be cut off at the family home. She had to ask the State of Georgia for help with utilities and housing while receiving cancer therapy!

Just so happens that Gingrich’s adulterous and cunning affair took place while he was trying to have Bill Clinton impeached for trysting with Monica Lewinsky.

Then dog-in-heat Gingrich cheated on his mistress #1/wife #2, Marianne, with Callista Bisek, mistress #2/wife #3, a House of Representatives staffer, who is 23 years his junior.

He left Marianne after she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and while she was visiting her mother.

Like his first sneaky affair, Gingrich had sexual relations with mistress #2/wife #3, Callista, his current wife, in the marital bed he shared with Marianne.

Why did Gingrich dump Marianne? He told her he wanted a “Jaguar,” and she was just a “Chevrolet.”

Now Gingrich and Callista host religious movies, which they sell on their web site.

Gingrich is a sleazy, anti-family, anti-woman politician, utterly lacking in personal morality, capable of making outrageous statements and committing acts of hypocrisy. In addition, no amount of religious documentaries or quick talking lines will change that.

Go ahead, GOP, run him for President. Other than (possibly) his current wife, there isn’t a woman in America who would vote for him. And few men.

Huh?

Here’s another little link for you.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/05/19/us-usa-campaign-gingrich-idUSTRE74C3UV20110519

(Reuters) - Newt Gingrich, whose campaign for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination has gotten off to a rocky start, risked fresh controversy on Thursday by suggesting that some illegal immigrants living in the United States “may have earned the right to become legal.”

The former House Speaker said that after the inaugural address, there’s a break before the traditional lunch — an opportunity for a newly-elected president to get right to work.

“Walk into a room, have all the documents already prepared, already on the Internet, already reviewed by the American people, already written by people who were in the Bush and Reagan White Houses, so they’re all technically correct,” he told the audience. “And just sign as fast as you can.”

Gingrich called for abolishing the Ninth Circuit Court, which he sees as part of an activist judiciary, abolishing all “czars” created by the Obama administration and ensuring no American money pays for abortion (the Constitution specifically gives Congress the power to “ordain and establish” lower courts).

Great ad!
Given the floundering of the other candidates it’s time to ask, “Why not Newt?”
Can you answer without name calling?
Perry has shown he can’t stand up.
50% of FR can’t stand Romney.
Cain can’t effectively explain 999 and isn’t sure he’s pro-life.....
